Ooh Yummy! Thanks for this recipes. Bee Stings are one of my downfalls when I go into a bakery. I'm sure these will be much nicer though.

I am going to have to try this recipe. My daughter can eat a block of Cadbury's in one sitting so it will be perfect for her. What do you usually use for frosting/ icing?

I make this tea cake all the time. My family loves it, even one family member who never eats cake at all. It is lovely and moist.

Hi,
What is the name of the software that you have that helps you with the meal planning? I would be interested to find out about it. Thanks

Sorbet, sorbet and more sorbet!  I made it for anybody and everybody who came over to my house to visit. We ate sorbet everyday for the first week at least.

I was really sold once i tasted the sorbet and saw how easy it is to make (and fruity dream too), so I would say that is a really safe bet. Risottos is a good one too. You definitely need a dessert one too, even a basic choc custard etc

I noticed that tupperware has insulated food servers/ dishes.  Has anyone used these? I wondered if they would be able to be used like the the thermomix insulated bowl.

Bread / Re: Bread tins, greasing?
« on: April 13, 2011, 04:03:38 am »
You can buy really good bread tins from "Simply No Knead". I bought all of my tins from them 20 years ago and I am sure they will still be going strong for at least another 20.

Bread / Re: New York Bagels (with photo)
« on: April 13, 2011, 03:44:04 am »
Bagels are usually very time consuming to make. Used to go to  fantastic bagel stores when living overseas (Noahs bagels )and they had the best toppings you could buy to put on your bagels too. I used to love a strawberry cream cheese one they had. Apparently it was just cream cheese mixed with strawberry jam.

Bread / Re: Pretzels - the doughy kind
« on: April 13, 2011, 03:34:15 am »
I tasted my first soft doughy pretzels whn i was living in the USA. They were covered in cinnamon and sugar and you get them from food courts etc at the shopping centres. (Auntie Annes Pretzels). I think I will have to go and make these now that you have posted a recipe.

Bread / Re: Hints on proving bread on a cooler day?
« on: April 13, 2011, 03:29:09 am »
I thought it would be a great idea to put mine outside in the warm sun one day to help it rise more quickly. I placed the jug on my outdoor table and put a shower cap over the bowl. All was well until my dog came into the house covered in bread dough!
Wherever you put it make sure it is dog proof. Picking out bread dough from poodle fur is not fun!

My tomatoes have finally all ripened and are falling off the vines faster than I can use them. Can you send me this recipe too please? Thanks, Pandateddy

I was super duper lucky and went to chookawomans house to learn how to make bread. It was wonderful and my bread making skills have improved greatly so I use her recipes for bread.

Chit Chat / Re: zoku pops
« on: January 05, 2011, 10:18:17 pm »
My sister just got one for xmas. You keep the base in the freezer and then you can make up to 9 pops in it before the base has to be refrozen. However there is a storage container you can buy which stores pre made ones in the freezer if you require more at one time or just want to grab one straight from the freezer at any time. You can also buy extra sticks etc. There is also a great recipe & ideas book you can get too. I know that "Williams Sonoma" is the main supplier in the USA but I am not sure f they post to Oz. I have also seen them on ebay from time to time.
