Yes gone are the days when you have roast on Sunday, shepherd's pie on Tuesdays, chops on Wednesday etc etc like they did in the old days.  Our families are fortunate enough to have Mums who love cooking and their meals are always different.

DD was visiting my DH one night in the home and said his shepherds pie for tea looked and smelled amazing.  He just turned his nose up at it - why, because he probably gets it as regularly as once a week now.  It's one of my GD's favourite meals, bet she would have eaten it if he'd offered it to her.

I made this again last night. Doubled the recipe and added broccoli. I had a small serve and the three teenagers ate the rest  :o Served with grilled tomato and a few strips of bacon for those who needed meat on their on their plate.  A great dish scoffed by all. Thanks Judy  :)

This looks very tasty. I'm planning on making it as a BBQ side and will serve with salad. Thanks for the recipe. :)

Made this with cauli and asparagus and used some red lentil spiral pasta. When it goes cold and firms up I’ll cut it into individual meal portions (8 for me) for the freezer then reheat in the air fryer each time.

I don't know that I was even aware that this recipe existed, Judy, but now that you have brought it to my attention there is no choice, I will just have to make it!

I’d forgotten about it too Judy. Thanks for the bump.

We forget so many recipes don’t we. It pays to have a browse every now and then and I’ve been doing that lately.
