MF, you've done a fabulous job with your kids. They are reaping the reward of your hard work.

Raising kids can be so so challenging at times. No, make that most times :)

We had a lovely day with all the family GHM 24 of us today, and yes BeezeeBee all of us mums would agree that raising kids and grandkids is very challenging but I think you will agree the most worthwhile and rewarding experience.
Well most of the time   ;)

Your family celebrations are pretty big MF but I guess that's quite normal for you and no-one takes any notice.  It sounds such a close knit family and you must be very proud of them all.

True Judy it is just the norm for us as with 4 children, their husbands and wives and their 11 children plus DH and I makes 21 minimum at all of our family celebrations or dinners. Add on my mum, and other immediate family can  be up to 40. We are used to it but it is a lot of cooking and preparation but always lots of fun and the little ones all have a great time.

I am very proud of all of them as all of us are of our children and grandchildren. I couldn't  be happier but have my moments when I long for a day alone!!!  This time next week DH and I will be in Port Douglas for a week alone.....bliss  :)

Just come back from a walk, -3 outside with frost and fog but I love walking on mornings like this.

Gorgeous, Dede. I can almost hear the frost crunching as you walk...  ;)
We are so close to the sea here that we don't really get frosts.  I grew up not that far at all from here, but have vivid memories of walking across the field to school with the grass crunching and leaving green footprints in the white... Now it's just plain cold.

Been at playcentre this morning.  Made cookies with the kids (premade the dough last night) and then a little friend painted my face - mostly blue and black.  Very attractive.  Took me a fair while to wash off before I could go and drop my car off to have a couple of touchups done.
DD went home with her friend from playcentre, so it's all quiet here.  About to go for a walk and then collect DD on the way to school.  Can't wait to hear about DS's day - he went to school dressed in a shirt and tie (his selection) for school photos today!   ;D

Mandi, that looks just gorgeous!!  It's a different kind of cold - I agree, if you're all rugged up, that kind of morning can be magical! :D

It is a lovely spot to walk anytime of the year too.
It's been almost 6 months since I quit smoking now and my lungs feel great, I really enjoy breathing in all the fresh air. :)

A nice, brisk walk in such a beautiful spot would soon warm you up Mandi.  6 months! How time flies.
