DH and I are down the coast for a couple of days, staying in a lovely hotel room on the 4th floor overlooking the ocean - bliss!

Today has been a funny day weather wise, grey, rain, cold then blue skies and sunny, then back to the rain and grey.  We've so enjoyed it though as our daughter drove us out to where you can see whales, but of course on the day we were there - no whales :-\.  Such beautiful untouched beaches, where 4wd vehicles are recommended as most of the roads are unpaved.  Will visit again later in the year so we can return to these magnificent beaches in warmer weather.

Looked around at some lovely stores, picked up a few things for our lounge and had a good look around Kmart, some great bargains there.  Cookie, if you are reading this I picked up the Pie book you posted about and the Air fryer book.  Had a flick through tonight and there's some nice, simple meals to make from them both, look forward to trying some of them.  :D

We are meeting at the Marina for breakfast in the morning then we are bringing our grandson back home with us for a week.  His mum will come down next Friday and stay the weekend before taking him home.

I didn't realise how much I needed this little break it has done me the world of good.  Enjoy your weekend everyone. :D

That’s curious Chookie.

JulieO I’m pleased that you found the books. Your little break sounds wonderful. I can’t wait to get away for a few days.

Julie, that sounds heavenly.  We really miss not going anywhere.  A short drive with our coffee in Thermo cups is a great adventure these days.  Pleased to read what you are doing. A vicarious thrill.
The Tuesday 4 am event not hot water as we have flow through gas.  DS said it might be NBN.
Cold wet day today.  Good day for cooking.

I hope you can find out what it is Chookie, what a mystery.  Do you know how long this mysterious  item uses power for?
Julie your short break sounds wonderful, we don’t realise how much we need a break until we’re on that break sometimes.  Enjoy the week with GS, you may need another break after that LOL.

We are in self imposed isolation.  Things aren’t as drastic as in Melbourne however we have chosen to stay at home.  DD rings when she is doing a grocery shop.  Yesterday I needed Cornflour.  The real stuff, not that made with wheat. DD sent me a photo , from her iPhone, of what was available.  I picked the White Wings and said, yes, this one.  What a good idea.
Cool with a little rain today.

It’s great when you’re shopping at Bunnings for a male Chookie, it makes sure you are picking what they want and therefore don’t have to make another trip to get the right thing.
When I was buying a new rug for the lounge room I sent my DD at least a dozen pictures of different rugs to see what she thought - we both agreed on the same one.

The phone is so useful for that sort of thing.

Today, not as cold but showers.
Myer lemons are ripening.  Will pick a few. I seem to use a lot of lemons so it is nice not having to buy them.

Good morning everyone.  A sunny but cool morning here.

A very foggy day here, I had the washing out early as I thought it would turn into a nice, sunny day  but when I went out to check the letterbox at 3 pm there was still fog hanging over the sea although the sun had just poked its head out.  Looks like the washing will have to stay out there until tomorrow now.

Cold and wet here. The rain is expected to increase, which is good news.

Need to clean out Chook shed.
RAL found the Doona that was missing.

Well done Ral, I hope the doona wasn't in the chook shed. We had 39mm of rain yesterday.
Only showers here today, but West Australian cold again.

Cookie, did laugh at your comment.  No, not in Chook shed. This house has lots of storage.  When we shifted in, I just poked things anywhere out of the way. Still finding “ lost” things.
