DH prepared and painted 2 of the walls in our bedroom today. Lots of shifting and tidying. All our furniture is solid jarrah and we push and pull more than lifting. I'm glad DD is home to help.

It sounds like fun and hard work at your place cookie, there’s nothing like a freshening up of rooms.  It’s totally worth the effort In my opinion but I know people who put it off because they don’t want to have to empty units etc.

I had a lovely day shopping at a different centre I had to go to for a mammogram today, still not that many people around at a place that was always buzzing with locals.

I hope the mammogram turns out ok Judy. I didn’t do a lot today. Popped up to my little Italian shop today. There food is so fresh.

All the best with the mammogram Judy.
Spent a morning on the phone to My Aged Care. Had a phone assessment for mum. They have decided she needs an ACAT referal. They told me to expect a 3 week wait at least for this. My mum is lucky as she has a lot of family support. It's a worry for people that don't have family to help until services are put in place or have someone to advocate for them.

Counting the days until handover of our house.
I’ve been researching lights for rooms. Kept going around in circles trying to workout how many “lumens” each light fitting produced. 🤪 The one light fixture I’ve ordered is delayed.

Michele, we had an assessment for MyAgedCare for RAL.  Just in case.  We are not used to this type of process, but they made it easy. They came to the house as they were training a new person.
CC, that is great news.  We have been wondering how you were going.  Choosing light fittings is difficult.
Cookie, I find the Fruit and veg from a specialist shop last much longer as it is fresher.

I love the sound of that Judy. Mine is due later this year.
CC wonderful news for you. Lots of work coming up but it will be so lovely for you.

I had the injection into my wrist today. It hurt something horrid. They aren't usually too bad but this was ghastly. I knew it would only last a short time so I didn't yell the place down.  :D :D :D :D

That’s very brave of you cookie, my Mum would have screamed the house down.
Denise it sounds like things have moved forward with no holdups since your last report.  Since the huge change In the type of light fittings on the market I find it impossible to buy anything without help otherwise I end up taking home the wrong thing. It was so much more simple in the ‘old days’.
It pays to touch base with My Aged Care before we actually need it, it’s a great service.

Very brave Cookie.  Hope the injection helps.
We were thinking of you yesterday as Ral had some spots frozen on his face by the Dr.  He said they stung for a while.
Lamb staying home today so we will go around and feed her.

I haven't been on here for a few days - time just keeps disappearing on me and I am losing touch with what is happening with you all!

CC, I was thinking about you just this morning as you are only days away from handover.  Fortunately, we didn't have to think about lights in our renovation, our architect took care of that for us, otherwise it would have been a total nightmare.

Hope everyone else is well and that your wrist is OK now, Cookie.

Life is certainly returning to somewhere near normal here, Katie and I went to lunch at a local hotel today which was really nice.

Thanks for all the kind wishes re my wrist. I’m being very positive, I think it will be fine.
I didn’t go down to Rockingham yesterday with DH. I bashed my wrist and as it is bruised it sort of hurt. DD didn’t want to drive her Mustang down in the rain, so she went with DH in the old Ute.
We called it a recession run as it was down to an industrial area. It’s lovely to have the old car runs etc going again.

Take care of your wrist Cookie . Good to be out for a drives.
Baked and made up all beds in readiness for DD and DS return home school holidays!!
Collected DS so we went to the skills center to pick up his woodwork project ( Cova 19 prevented him putting it together) well two sessions and a very kind cabinet maker students DS bedside table was finished. Problem fitting in car . Luckily he can leave it at boarding house till we can get it . DD was doing her Studio folio till late ! We got home in the dark! Never mind had a nice meal and all very quiet .
