Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Re Chop function
« on: May 18, 2023, 11:46:50 pm »
Hi - finally we have Chop function in Australia but why is it not the same as USA , Europe and many other countries - do we pay less in Australia

I look at YouTube and see that Chop in other places - our Chop looks like a low priced alternative

Is there a reason why Cookidoo is better in places other than Australia?

Hi everybody- we have a TM6  and it’s fabulous

Had a problem this evening using COOKIDOO - all going well and about half way through and all stopped

I could not proceed with “next” and as it was our dinner I opened Cookidoo on my iPad to finish manually

Just cleaned up and Cookidoo works perfectly- is this to be expected ?

There are no codes or advises on screen - everything now works perfectly

Would appreciate your opinion - my family bought three TM6 and traded in a TM31 - never had any trouble and the TM6’s are only two months old and used daily in our homes

Regards

Peter

well its here and the consultant has gone - just made us fresh lemonade and it was beautiful.

Reading the cook book and off to buy cream to make butter - at NQR they have 12 x 300 ml for $1.20 good enough to learn with.

Have a great day and we are planning a big pav for Australia day - will try Woolies for egg whites

kind regards to all

Recipe Requests / question about chicken
« on: January 15, 2014, 04:55:24 am »
G'day we are just waiting for our Thermomix and dreaming about what we can do.

At the moment my wife poaches a chook and then we have the chicken as cold meat with a salad.

Norma then adds vegetables to the stock and we enjoy Chicken Soup as well.

We are wondering if the chicken is cooked in the Varoma is a stock made or would we need to poach the chicken in the basket and when the chicken is cooked remove the basket and add vegetables to the stock.

would appreciate your opinions

Chit Chat / your opinion on how to learn and plan please
« on: January 12, 2014, 03:20:08 am »
G'day my name is peter and yesterday the wife and i bought a Thermomix . We will call him Maxi - the wife is a little unsure but I love to cook so for a start its my new toy.

Appreciate what a great machine it is and would love to learn how to get the best from it as well .

Was wondering if for a newboy it would be best to work through the Every Day Cook Book and see just what we like best for a start and thought that a weekly menu could comprise of a name and page number for each recipe selected and then a shopping list could be constructed.

We have downloaded the App but it has very limited recipes and we cannot print out the shopping list either but if we do the above in Excel we can

would value your opinion and are there any recipes in the cook book that need adjusting

Suggestions and Complaints / Every day meals for Everyday Australian family
« on: November 08, 2013, 05:52:03 am »
G'day everybody and thanks for a great site.

Have read many many wonderful recipes but ask where I might find more ordinary everyday meals for an Aussie family.

The usual dinner would be a meat and five veg plus a sweet or a soup

Understand that there are heaps of wonderful recipes but would value a more standard recipe base

kind regards

G'day
selling many of my "old" toys to buy a THERMOMIX

Read all about them and they sound fabulous - the wife thinks i am a dill to want to spend two grand on a mixer BUT all Mixers are not Mixers

have read many web sites and tossed around the idea of saving five hundred importing from Germany but then very little in the way of support and i might end up with a look alike from China.

would really appreciate all the help you can afford me and when i am skilled will help all i can.

kind regards

peter
