Amy the beer sizes are small, medium and large; midi, half pint and pint.

The hardest beer to pour correctly is Guinness. A good poor is a true art form.   

The rules to pulling a good beer are, never let the nozzle touch the glas or the beer head, hold the glass at about a 45degree angle and the stream should hit the glass about half way down the inside, as it fills slowly straiten the glass to upright.

I am sure you will be fine.  I think the hard part is cocktails. Knowing how to make and Old Fashion, Caprioska or Sex on the Beach.

No I have never worked in a pub but both DD's put themselves through Uni doing bar work. When we went out any where DD2 would critique the bar workers

I've never heard of anyone ordering a glass but it is the correct term for a very small 200ml glass of beer. But to add to the confusion most Beer is served as a Pot or a Pint in Vic.
In Sydney it's a Middy or a Schooner
And in WA Apparently it's a Middy or a Pint
But in Adelaide if you order a Schooner you are actually getting a Middy/Pot and their large size is a Pint, which is actually called a Schooner size everywhere else because it's 425ml whereas a true Pint is 570ml (Totally backwards you are SA people!   Too confusing)

I don't like when they fill up the glass of wine and its UNDER the line. Makes me feel like wrenching the bottle out of their hands and adding more.

I haven't had a drink in a pub since I left Broome. I will be having a drink in the Birdsville pub though.

I would ask them to top it up to the line CP - I mostly find they go just over the line here.
