Introduce Yourself / Re: Perthie needs a thermomix....now!!
« on: April 14, 2010, 08:09:21 am »
Welcome Julia.  I know just how you feel. Once you have made the decision and bought it I found I didn't feel bad about the price at all. It is worth it. Even though we are retired I think I would replace  mine if something happened to it.
Perhaps try Russell's suggestion-try things in the blender. Hope you can have your demo soon. Guys seem to love it once they've seen what it can do.

The plum jam was beautiful. In my usual style I mucked around with the EDC recipe and it is lovely jam. Must do a review.

I'm not at all computer literate Russell but that sounds like an enormous task. My drama when the site goes down is probably more how to contact people than the recipes. Having said that I still need the recipes and feedback as I only print off the ones I plan to make very soon. The site has only gone down a couple of times.

I just put my yoghurt into the easi-yo with no water and leave overnight. I made a full fat batch last night but haven't tried it yet.

Judy, thank you for bringing this to my attention again. I didn't print it off last time. I have done this time and hopefully will make it tomorrow night.

I tried a couple of Bakers' Delights but they weren't keen. I'm happy now though.

Chookie, what a beautiful drawing.

I've got some plum jam on the make at the moment as I saw some cheap plums at our get together. It is smelling rather nice.
Then Chicken Cacciatore for dinner, maybe with polenta.

I think anything that will promote more sales of the Thermomix should be done. It is very expensive and quite a different way of cooking so books are a great help. Only my thoughts. :-))

Russell our weekend newspaper had a recipe for repellant using water and lavendar oil in it. If you're interested I'll post it. It is one of Shannon Lush's recipes. I haven't tried it but I plan to when we go away.

Congratulations Judy.  Like you I didn't realise my Beetroot Dip recipe was in the Festive Book until a friend rang and told me.

No drama CP63, I knew that you didn't as you would realise all the work. You had a great suggestion and as you said it looks solved.
