Hi!
« on: November 25, 2012, 10:55:10 pm »
Hi everyone!

I just thought I'd pop in an introduce myself before I dive into the recipes :)

My name is Ainsley and I live in southern NSW with my hubby and our 12-month-old son.  I work two days a week teaching at our local high school and got my thermomix (Heidi) on Saturday...so excited!!

So far I have made some pureed fruit for baby bear's brekkie and yoghurt (he likes fruit mixed into the greek yog I make in the easiyo), vege stock, porridge, pasta (fail, too much stock concentrate made it salty as heck!), chocolate custard (also a fail, not sure why yet...it went really thick and tasted floury) and then today I made some fruit icypoles.

I am very interested in quick, easy meals that are healthy, will appeal to all of us and are egg-free, due to baby bear's allergy/intolerence.

I look forward to getting to know everyone :)

Hi and welcome Ainsley. As Gert has sadi I am sure you will find many helpful recipes here.  If you don't just ask and I'm sure someone somewhere will be able to help.

Hi and welcome.  I have just posted a grain bread process for you.  However as you are very new to the TMX,  I suggest you first make,  either Isi's rolls or my No Fuss bread,  just to get the hang of making bread.  good luck and let us know how you go.

Hello Ainsley and welcome to the forum.  Have a go at some of the recipes on here and see how successful they are.  Have you found our recipe reviews of all the books out there?  Check out the list before trying anything from the books just in case someone has added information which you will find useful.

Thanks everyone!! Achookwoman (may I all you chookie?) I do plan on sticking to some easy bread recipes first, I'm just trying to find some time to play.  Unfortunately baby bear is a super light sleeper, so Heidi is a bit too noisy for night-time use :-/

Mother Bear,  give Baby Bear a hug from me. ;D  The kneading only takes 4 mins.  Can you put the machine somewhere in the house for just the kneading ,  away from the little one.? Perhaps the garage,  on the floor as it can move around a bit.   Many kids don't like the noise of the TMX.
