I've made cada for brekkie and have some plums from the markets yesterday here so I'll be having a go at making some plum sauce - not Asian-style, "grandma style" :)

I just found this, it sounds like what he's after...any tips for converting it to thermomix?  I'll be having a go as soon as I get my hands on some plums. Just not sure if I need to drastically adjust cooking time etc?

Thanks for that, I have seen a few Asian-style ones, but my husband has specifically requested plum sauce "like his grandma made" I thought that it wouldn't have been an Asian-style sauce, but I may be wrong!!

All In One Meals using the Varoma / Lemon coriander chicken
« on: December 08, 2012, 07:31:00 am »
My first meal that I "winged" and it was delicious!  Thought I would share the recipe, it's very tasty and fits into clean eating as well :)

500g chicken (I used tenderloins)
1 lemon
I bunch coriander
Clove garlic
Small piece ginger (around 3 cm or to taste)
Pinch salt (optional)
Good grind of pepper

Put chicken in varoma, add 500g water, set to 20 min/varoma/speed 4.  Peel lemon.
When that is done, empty out water and add a small piece of lemon zest, garlic and ginger and whizz on 8 for 5-10 seconds. Add the peeled lemon (halved) and the coriander with an mc of water.
Place varoma back on top and set to 5 min/varoma/speed 4.

When that's done, put chicken on a plate with some salad of your choice and pour over the sauce. Quick, easy and so tasty!

I'm more than happy for any suggestions, it's my first ever thermomox recipe and it was done completely based on what I had available and after our Christmas party so I definitely didn't put much thought into it :)

Condiments and Sauces / Plum Sauce
« on: December 08, 2012, 12:33:36 am »
Hi all, I've been searching the forum and googling madly to try and find a thermomix recipe for plum sauce - the type my grandmother used to make - to no avail. Does anyone know of one?  Or  is it difficult to convert a regular recipe to thermomix? I'm new to thermomixing and would really appreciate some help :)

Yep, I used the choc chips in place of the chopped white choc and it melted in and made milk choc fudge. I didn't replace the glucose and it was fine without it :)

I made chocolate fudge to take to a friend's house this afternoon - we are getting together to celebrate the life of his mother who was taken too early :(

It was a lovely funeral service and get together to remember her. So unfair :(

Can I just take this moment to ask any smokers to please consider quitting? I know it's very hard, but my heart breaks for a family of wonderful people who are without their mother/wife/aunt/sister/grandmother because she was a heavy smoker and died of lung cancer.
