This is the Brioche dough after kneading. It is very soft . I put plenty of flour on mat and hands when shaping.

Chookie they all look so very tasty. I’ve put on a kilo looking at them. I found the dough soft too but just used flour for kneading etc. it makes a lovely soft roll. I need to make some fruit rolls this week, I think I will use this recipe.
Nw I want to make cinnamon scrolls too. The trouble is I eat them.

It is very tempting to eat them so I quickly freeze them.
I soaked  the sultanas in boiling water for a few minutes as they were a bit dry.

I refuse to look at those cinnamon scrolls, it is too tempting.

Today will be a mango, orange, cashew 'custard', BBQ sauce, boiled fruit cake, roast veg frittata and RTE's lemon and herb baked risotto ... so long as I don't run out of energy before I get it all done!

Marina, that is a big cook up.  All sounds nice and tasty.
I’m about to embark upon making Xmas cakes. I’ve decided to use a recipe from Dench the bakers in Melbourne.  Looks good but I also have all the ingredients.
For lunch today, having Avo filled with prawns and yoghurt mustard dressing from RTE. squirted some on the steamed veggie last night. Nice and no oil.
I’ve also got a large jar of Kefir going.
I’ve tipped my SD into a bowl and sterilised the big jar that I keep it in.

I have a Classic Loaf rising and the rye starter has been fed ready to make bread. It’s rather cool here today so I have my Classic loaf rising in the microwave on the dough setting. It’s proved useful for cool days.

SD not looking happy. Have some dried  in reserve and also trying to grow another one outside. However neighbour lit a fire and lot of smoke in air.

it is a bit dangerous having a fire at this time of year, Chookie ... are they sensible?

Maybe you could start a new 'line' in smoked bread ;D

The Bindoon Bakehouse about 100km or so north of Perth do a smoked sourdough. I bought one when we went past once but it didn't taste any different to my tastebuds. It is owned by 2 girls who bought it as a tiny bakery many years ago. They have so many customers that had to build a bigger place. It is extremely nice and their food is very nice.https://www.bing.com/search?q=bindoon+bakehouse&form=ANNTH1&refig=359ee4cad51640768328de1a46facbea&sp=-1&pq=bindoon+bakehouse&sc=2-17&qs=n&sk=&cvid=359ee4cad51640768328de1a46facbea
