Thanks Uni, I have created a secret group......just me and DD. She gave me a major eye roll when I was trying to explain!  I seem to have to copy the image to a reading list, then save from there....maybe because it's on the iPad. Anyway here goes........

I know, Goldfish! There must be an easier way, but I haven't found it. For some reason I can't get my phone and ipad to Bluetooth. I will have one in each hand, both searching for nearby devices, and they just won't connect. I think it is the phone that has a problem....I can never Bluetooth it to the photo printers at BigW either. However it connects to Bluetooth in the car without a problem, so I'm a bit stumped. First world problems, anyway!

You're too quick for me, Uni! If I try to add a picture from the iPad via Tapatalk, it is huge, and I don't seem to have an option to resize it. I can't add a picture directly on the Forum as it is too big to be accepted. But if I take the picture on my phone, it will load, as long as I send it to myself as a text message first (that compresses it, as otherwise it is too large). So, I write the post on the iPad (larger screen for elderly eyes and fat fingers  ), then quickly (but not quickly enough  ) switch to the phone to edit the post and add the picture! Phew!

Look what was waiting for me at the post office! I was very brave and took a chance that it would be wrapped, so opened the outer packaging. It was wrapped, and beautifully so as you can see. Thank you, SS!

Hi Dot,
It just means that someone will comment on an old post so that it then gets "bumped up" the list of active topics, and is more likely to be noticed when members log in, particularly if they read via the "show unread posts since last visit" button.

I haven't made Bearnaise sauce before, but have made Hollandaise, which split. I wondered if there was anything I could do to rescue it, and found via Google that by whisking in an ice cube, it came back to a beautiful glossy sauce. I have made several split batches of mayonnaise, and they always work the second time if I start again with egg and vinegar, etc, and use the split batch in place of oil. I seem to make a lot of mistakes!

 I made a huge apple and sultana cake yesterday. DH took half to work today, and said it went down well. Sorry about the huge photo of the huge cake! Tapatalk doesn't seem to have an option to let me resize.
