Mab, eggs great food value. Last night a neighbour and I went to a Vietnamese Restaurant for dinner. The food was great as was the service. Will go again. Eating out in Ballarat is patchy.

When do you leave for your Ghan trip Chookie?
Friday, Cookie. Hope to catch up with Judy in Adelaide. This is my first trip travelling by myself. I’m going on the Ghan with 2 side trips with Outback Spirit. 8 days Kings Canyon and Ulutu and 3 days Kakadu from Darwin.

Mab, that is so nice. Great memories for everyone. Finally finished all the paperwork for a Probus trip to Lakes Entrance in October. There are 5 going from our club and I somehow ended up with the administation. I will be more careful next time. Now I feel I can start making the final arrangements for my Ghan trip.

A toastie and soup. Yesterday at Probus we had a guest speaker, Tim Bone. He was on Master Chef and has a Toastie business in Ballarat. So I’m inspired to make a toastie. They presented him with 2 of my jars of jam. Bit embarrassing. I was wondering if the Lemon, Carrot and Whiskey one will end up in a toastie.

Cleaning out fridge, made savoury cheese scones with bacon, cheese and olives and a 1/2. Berry tomato on top. Ate one and gave rest to neighbours.

I had some steamed new potatoes in the fridge. I popped them whole, skin and all, in the TMX. Zapped them for a few seconds. Made a lovely topping for the chicken and mushroom pot pies. Baked some Hazelnut and aniseed fregolate biscuits from my blog.

Mcmich, thanks for the photo. I couldn’t post it. I also used the same recipe to make bread sticks. The GC loved them. Thought I might make Cookies Orange biscuits today. Also, I continue to make the lemon and carrot marmalade. So easy in the TMX and everyone likes it. A Probus member who is on dialysis can eat it and sees it as a treat. Breakfast has become a bit boring so made some basic Bircher Museli in the TMX. 2 apples, 2 cups oats, 1 cup of Greek yogurt and I cup of milk. Keeps for 5 days, 6 serves with extra fruit.

Well done Chookie . Is there a maximum filling capacity fir the open life’s cooking? .
I don’t know KAtie. I filled it to maximum. The chicken legs weren’t knocked around at all. I also added the bones and carcass of the takeaway chook. I remove the stuffing. I also notice that not a lot of steam escapes from the lid. Judy, half the fun of getting a new appliance is pushing it to the limit. This 7 will really test me but it is so much fun. My SC gave up working, after 30+ years so I thought I would see if the 7 would do the job. Good, but don’t feel I could leave it on and go out.
