What a waste of pinenuts DD.  I always toast my nuts in a heavy based pan on the stove top, stirring frequently as it is easier to keep an eye on them.  You never go onto the forum whilst you are doing this job but you have now learnt that lesson  ;D

I should have already learned this lesson JD. I did it last weekend with walnuts I was toasting to make Umami paste.

I think I have definitely learned it this time.

Like Judy, only use pan and stand there watching...they turn so quickly!

P.S. Den......have you ever actually burnt popccorn before?
My DD did, in the microwave....they were smoking  :o
House smelt for days, and had to turf the microwave  :-))
