I’m sure it will cookie, not much that you do goes wrong does it?

When it does it ‘breaks’ in a big way Marina. 😀😀😀😀

We are having thinly sliced steak, spread with Dijon mustard, slivers of carrot and ham rolled inside it and slow cooked in the frying pan for about an hour. I usually put some veggie stock in the water and then boil it down and thicken it for gravy.

DB cooked steak on the BBQUE and salad . Followed by guests gifted dessert ... chocolate pudding dome with toffee sauce ! This came in a box from Coles , took two of us with much laughter to assemble, basicly a choc pudding zapped in microwave, a gold and chocolate dome placed on top then heated toffee sauce poured over dome that melts . Really actually nice .

We are having Tenina's Chickpea and Cashew curry with rice. It is DD's birthday and she has requested that with naan.

We are having some fish from the freezer with left over potato slice and mixed vegetables.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Nice of Mum to cook what DD wanted for her birthday, happy birthday from me too.  Love what you bought yourself for your birthday.  I always buy myself a Christmas present but have never thought to buy myself a birthday present. It sounds like a good idea though!

My dinner tonight was a baked potato (done in microwave to save time) with lentil and tomato salsa.  Was really filling but didn't do it for me, won't make again.

Made fish & chips (chips done in actifry so only 3 tsp oil) for DH and GS with salad followed by apple crumble.  I made some unsweetened apple sauce a few days ago so put some in ramekins and used up some uncooked crumble that I had in the freezer for the top.  Went down a treat.  :D

Tonight we had a pasta, mushroom, spinach and ham dish in a cheese sauce. We have almost finished our second Christmas ham. We don’t need anymore for a long time.  ;D ;D

Julie, thanks for the lovely photos.  Shame the potato didn’t satisfy.
Cookie we are also nearly finished the ham.  Also don’t want any more for a long time.
I have made a beautiful stock from the Turkey carcass. Will freeze some and make a small amount of Cauli soup with the rest.

As our weather is cool for a couple of days DH has decided that he may make a soup with the ham bone in the freezer. First he has to make room for DD's new car which will be here in the next couple of days. We are beginning to look like a car yard!. All are out the back though, and our 3 daily drives are in the garage.

I wondered where you were going to put another car cookie.

Tonight I had a piece of leftover chicken breast from yesterday, I diced it and covered it with home made passata and served it with broccoli au-gratin.

Last night we had grilled lemon pepper salmon cooked in AF. Added mixed salad which contained 2 small cucumbers from the garden.
Tonight grilled flathead tails with salad.
The bread that I cooked in the BBQ was great.  Ral had a couple of slices with his salmon. I gave one of the bread sticks with some ham to our neighbour who is spending hours  at the hospital visiting elderly mum.
