I went in to see Mum this afternoon but she was upstairs playing bingo so I went back home. Decided to make a SC loaf of bread Chookie, halfway through cooking when I received a call from the nursing home that Mum had had a fall. So here I am sitting alongside her bed in hospital after having an x-ray (no breakages) but now they’ve found her knee is very painful too so she has to have that x-rayed as well. Hopefully we will not be here until the wee hours of tomorrow morning.

Judy, hope your Mum is ok.
What happened to the mini loaf?
I bought a packet of premix GF pancake mix. It was expensive a pretty awful. I added a packet of Blueberries and a mashed Banana to the mix and made pikelets.
Cooked 2 Turkey legs in SC. Will roast one and turn the other into a Casserole.
Cookie, wher can I find Gayles SC loaf. ?

She’ll be uncomfortable for quite a while Chookie and will have her arm in a sling so I don’t know how she will cope with that. Won’t be able to use her walker. We got back to the nursing home at 11.15 which wasn’t as bad as it normally is.
I stayed here until the bread was cooked, could have done with a little more time in the SC but I left it browning in the A/F for longer. Quite edible, I made myself a sandwich when I got home last night and have had toasted some this morning.

Hope your mum manages OK, these things always take so much longer to heal as we get older.

Oh Judy, that isn't fun for anyone. Please make sure things aren't broken. When MIL went to have her broken leg checked they found another break in it. They hadn't been very careful in checking the first time. Give your Mum a big gentle hug
Chookie here is Gayle's loaf .

Got a huge bag of silverbeet from my neighbour yesterday, had some filo pastry I had to use so made a ''sort of' spanakopita. It was edible, if nothing else!

So sorry to hear about your Mum Judy. Sending hugs to you both 🤗🤗
I’ve made a loaf of bread. Thanks girls reminding me about the SC loaf. My SC was one thing that didn’t get packed and is here with me in the caravan with my TM.

A bit smaller than a normal kitchen but you will cope Denise. Just pretend you are on holiday and eat out a bit more than usual. I see the TM taking pride of place on the cupboard, that would make life a lot easier for you.

I think my kitchen in my last house was about that size Denise. Thank goodness I didn’t have a thermomix then.

I had various vegetables to use up so made a vegetable soup. It turned out really nice.
