A good brisk hour walking today.
Considering a bicycle... Not sure if really a sensible idea.
Will think on it.
Don't want any white elephants... Use saddle money to buy one maybe?

Well exercise but transport locally eg pop to post office etc.
try to bike instead or walk or car. Quicker by bike.
With helmet obviously.

Diaries sound good. Can do one on line fitness pal or something like that.

I do have a fitness pal account, but I never use it. We're writing in proper diaries so we can check up on each and we can take them anywhere we go ;)
And I don't like the fitness pal one because it counts your calories. I don't believe in counting calories :)

I think a bike would be really handy for you DJ :D It would build up some great leg strength ;) Can you get a good deal somewhere?

Will investigate this week Amy.
I need a non chore related task to do before work. There are some bike shops fairly near. I think I need to test, then maybe look online for second hand when I know what suits.
I leave home 1pm all this week, never knowing when i'll be back. Strange but true! Weds and sat booked as late ones.
My car needs a service and MOT too.

Why don't you like calories?
On an agricultural basis for feeding livestock the energy going in is calculated exactly according to age and stage of animal. Forage is tested and analysed. If you want animals to gain weight and condition, or produce more milk, you increase the feed. Of course dietary fibre is important etc. and it is not quite that simple.

So for humans calories = Energy going in Too much and weight is gained etc .
Less calories, weight loss etc and can even plan for maintenance in animals and humans.

I hope you find something nice and affordable DJ :) A leisurely bike ride would be a good way to start the day I think :D I hope work is still going well too.

I just think counting calories is a waste of time. If you eat until you are satisfied and eat a varied and balanced diet, there's no need. Lots of people can do it :) Some just lose touch with their body signals :-\
I've studied the energy balance I could sit down and work out how many calories I should eat and how much exercise I should do. But there are more productive things I could do with my time :)

Jamberie, how is your exercise going? Have you been doing much? :)

We're getting a 2 in 1 exercise machine and also a second hand pilates thingy :D

Great work DJ :D I imagine walking in snow would be similar to walking in soft sand at the beach?

We have order a cross-training machine, it should arrive early this week :D

I love water aerobics Amy.  We did it for a year or so once a month with the carers a while back but then they stopped it  :(
