Thanks Gert and Cuilidh :D I was given some very good advice from some very wise people on the forum, so I think I can do a good job of my letter. I could bring it to the retreat and show everyone my writing skills ;)
Gert, I was surprised that you were so quick to recall my work history :o ;)

How are you getting from your place to Margaret River. It is a long drive  isn't it?

Gert

I think I will be getting a ride with MJ if I can find a way to get to Kojonup to meet her. Its about 5 hours from Albany to Perth. I haven't asked her yet, but I hope I can get a ride back home too :-))

Ho HO about the same time it takes to get from  Cairns VIA Brisbane to Perth but of course I am flying.

I am sure MJ  or Dashingden will  see you get back ok?  Maybe you parents can pick you up somewhere convenient.

Brain training Amy. You need it at my age. Mind you I can hardly remember what I had for lunch. Quack.

SueJen, thats a very generous offer, thank you :D Is Mt Barker closer to Albany than Kojonup? I'm not very road-savvy :-))

Gert you're so funny, I can't wait to meet you :D

we will probably need to leave about 8am on Friday morning so I could pick you up on Thursday and you could stay the night with us. Would give your Mum a chance to meet us.

SueJen, my grandparents live in Mt Barker so if you need to leave early on Friday morning I could stay with them on Thursday night and you could pick me up from their house? With the size of Mt Barker, you probably know them :-))

Isn't it funny who you meet when you're a 17-year-old without a license needing a ride to Perth for a weekend retreat with a group of Thermomix-lovers? :-))
