After marinating Maggie Beers beef cheeks overnight I browned them. Deglazed the pan , cooked some onion and celery and I am about to pop them Into my slow cooker ( the oven) at 120 for 3 or 4 or 5 hours.

You can get them in the odds bits of meat such as liver heart etc in Coles and Woolies. Very cheap.

Sounds like a lovely Saturday at your house Robyn :D

Those beef cheeks look good Gertie.

Tonight I'm going to attempt to convert a recipe called Chicken and Tarragon One-pot :)

well I am having a bit of a Cookathon, we have friends coming to dinner and the TMX has been on since 8 am and still got more to cook.  I am cooking Indian food and some yummy deserts.  already made the butter chicken I added steamed potatoes.   have soaked the tapioca for the soufflé orange pudding that is on the British Larder website.  Tenina's  white choc and raspberry cheesecake is in the varoma now as it needs to cool and set. Then it will be back to mains, will do the tomato and lentil Dahl and a beef rendang. The will need to do two batches of rice as one basket won't feed us all.  I am lucky I got my TM in June so have two bowls.  I want to be finished cooking before they get here as TMX so noisy!! I'd better get cracking.

That looks scrumptious Gert, must look out for beef cheeks next time I am in supermarket.  Have seen them being cooked on Masterchef but have never tried them.

Peanut butter and bread(both made in TMX). Have been out to lunch at the Baths at Sorrento - spicey steamed mussels (entree) and snapper. Such a lovely sunny day too for early August, to be sitting looking out at the water with a nice bottle of wine.
