Macadamia Parmesan Shortbread Wafers
« on: December 17, 2009, 05:54:30 am »
Macadamia parmesan shortbread wafers from Festive Flavour cookbook page 22. I rolled them 2mm thick and cooked them for 7 minutes. Very tasty and easy to make but I found you need to have a drink after eating one.  4/5

Would that be one drink after each wafer??
Which is best - wine or spirits? ;D ;D

Think she might just be using this as an excuse to drink all the advocaat  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks JD - may need to alter the salt content.  :-*

I've made this Judy and forgot to do a review. We really liked them and I hope to do some for a Christmas party on SAturday night. I've volunteered to do all the dips etc, no one realises how quick and easy it will be for me.

How thick did you roll yours Cookie?  I'm sure someone else made a double batch of these (JulieO?) but I can't find her review anywhere.  Mind you, everytime I walk past the container, I eat one so they can't be that bad but they do leave a dry taste in your mouth, hence the follow-up drink (usually water Thermomixer). I'm trying to work out whether to offer them to guests or not.

Judy, I rolled mine about 3mm thick. I found them to be very short as they crumbled when you picked them up. I loved the taste though and the recipe didn't really make that many.

Ok - now I have the recipe - maybe just have unsalted macadamias is the answer?   Maybe a little less parmesan?

Might have to try them now !

It must have been Cookie1 then.  I'm sure you could do the recipe proud JulieO.
