Thank you lovelies - nothing in the class of the magnificent Maddy, but the butter cream that I mentioned last weekend (after doing 5 doz cakes) is so quick and just perfect every time for piping!!!

I guess my time poorness was the reason that did not get into a stoush with HO - just paid the full price + postage and am now waiting for the new set of blades!!!!! I must admit though the TMX is a work horse for me and I have not treated it with kid gloves and could have overloaded the machine on occasions so did not feel that I had many legs on which to fight their veiw that the blades overtime will be "stripped' if overloaded!!!!!

....another weekend when cupcakes have been requested!!!!

I too ordered direct CP!!!!

It sounds like you and I had a similar outcome CP with blades + replacement + HO response. I have been a little shocked to discover that the blades are a consumable item  .  Thankfully I have the 2nd bowl whilst waiting the arrival of new blades!!!!!!

Chit Chat / Re: What are you cooking for Mother's Day?
« on: May 10, 2013, 12:32:02 pm »
......5 doz cupcakes for a Mother's day high teaa as well as multiple batches of cookies and cream fudge and salted caramel fudge.  I have found the perfect quick butter icing which worked a treat for piping with cupcakes.  I love the cooked frosting in TMX brought to our attention by Frozzie but this is one is great when in a hurry (which is the case most times for moi!!!!). Put all ingredients in TMX - speed 5 - 30sec insert butterfly and beat speed 3 for 30-40 sec - just perfect!!!! Play around with the times if the icing is not smooth - I used room temp butter.

Apparently so - these clips on the breeders page (scroll down page)  are certainly testament to their ability to talk, but I had never even heard of them before the surprise arrival organised by DD and DH

............the cord is a pain I always use an extension cord. Lately I have taken to attaching the enjo mop head (using gaffer tape - very professional yes!!!!)) as I love how the enjo emoves any tougher marks so combined with the steam I am on a winner!!!!!!!
