Yep I googled it and found a rechargeable dehumidifier that can sit on his window seal. Hopefully that will help. He won't let me leave the window open, or his door open of a night :(
So will try the dehumidifier :)

I just made this and it erupted lol.  When I added the soda in (last) it totally fizzed up and flowed over the top. Did this happen to anyone else?  At least my kitchen bench got a wipe down.

A quick question. Is the soda the powder or crystals?

Medusa - you didn't use bicarb of soda in error did you?  This would certainly fizz when the vinegar came into contact with it.

I'm glad that is cleared up.  I would have bought crystals too and I just remembered I have a packet of powder tucked away in a silly place (with my spices :-))) so yay, I can make this mixture sooner than I thought.

I mixed the soda with the hot water first and stirred it till desolved then added rest. No explosion her lol :)

I want to make this dishwashing powder too (not as tablets though) and was wondering if the Lectric powder could be used in place of the Lectric crystals - any ideas girls?

I would give it a try Judy. I guess the crystals would be the same just not made into powder.

See what the ingredients are on the back. Perhaps you can blitz the crystals?
