There are plenty of ideas if you google that question about preserving ginger Gretchen. With nice thin skinned ginger like that, I just freeze it and grate it frozen into whatever I am cooking - so easy with a microplane zester. There is one recipe for preserved ginger in syrup - don't know what you would use that for, desserts, cakes probably.I thought day lily too like CP so if the flower only lasts a day, you will know we are right Is there a white clivia CP, I've only seen yellow and orange here.The price of your ginger is soooo cheap Gretchen, wish I could get it for that price so that I could make the ginger drink from EDC more often. Ginger here is around $12 - $15 kg and never looks as nice as yours.
I really want to preserve it. Any ideas? It does not need peeling at all.Gert
