So true Judy. Especially now that we can all use our machines as an extra pair of hands and don’t necessarily use a recipe.
DH made some pea and ham soup this morning. He always blitzes the veggies in the thermomix.  This morning he sort of puréed them.  😀😀 we still have another couple of ham bones in the freezer from Christmas so he will get practise.

So easy to do if you are not that familiar with the machine, veggies one second - juice the next LOL.

I tried my hand at making the "Snow Cones" that are such a big hit on the internet at the moment.  Made with a packet of cake mix and lemonade.  II'll take these out to the family for the birthday dinner but not sure I would make them again as I don't like packet cake mix mucht

I’ve seen them Margaret and wondered what they were like. Are they light and fluffy and is it just the fact they’re not made from scratch which turns you off?

Judy, yes they were quite light soft and were better with jam and cream in them and the GC loved them. I,m just not fond of the taste of packet mixes.  I forgot to say tat they were made in the pie maker

I’m not a prolific cake maker but I don’t generally use packet mixes either Margaret. I might try this TMX recipe in the pie maker when next I need some cakes. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4426.0

Mab, I can also recommend that recipe that Judy linked. I often use it, especially in the Apple Cake Tart recipe.
Making an assortment of dips today.  Will post if good.

Thanks Judy & Chookie.  I have made this recipe before but just wnted to try the other one to see how it went in the pie maker.  Just a question about the cream, I don't often have cream in the fridge, if I kept some in the freezer would it work in the recipe, I'm thinking it maybe a bit watery when thawed out.

I noticed those cakes too Margaret and was wondering about them. Like you I find that packet cakes have a particular taste that I'm not fond of. I had a mini bake in yesterday, a SD loaf, a Classic Loaf and a large sultana cake.

I made some Cherry Jam. It is a recipe of Tenina’s. I used frozen cherries and it has turned out well. I often have a tiny bit at lunch. I’ll try to remember to post a picture.

Also made Black olive Tapenade. Bought a packet of Lebanese Bread. Made these to use as crackers.  Brushed with a mixture of olive oil, garlic and Oregano. Then baked.
