Hello everyone!

Alyce Alexandra here! Great to now be part of the forum, and great to see some dialogue surrounding my new cookbook. Any questions, please feel free to ask me directly on the forum, or email me at alyce@alycealexandracookbooks.com.

Cecilia, currently looking into the shipping status of your order. As your order was placed on Monday, hard to say when it will arrive, but    this particular courier company Interparcel usually exceeds expectations. Fingers and toes crossed that it arrives tomorrow! All the best with your Thermomix business.

Thank you so much for your support, Alyce.  I can feel the stress levels going down a bit.  :)  I'm excited to have a smart new tool with which to promote the magnificent Thermomix.  Thanks, Alyce for all your work on the book, and *welcome* to the Thermomix forum.  :)

I have just received my book and had a quick flick - my initials thoughts are it looks lovely

I just wanted to say dealing with Alyce & Loryn from Alyce Alexandra Cookbooks has been a pleasure  :)
I ordered my book well before Xmas and asked for delivery to my Post Office box.  Apparently they always deliver the books via courier and not by post (wise move maybe??).  But as I had only supplied my PO box number and not my street address, they sent my book before Xmas via Australia Post.

My book never arrived  :(
Who knows where it went!
We have several things posted to our PO box every week and have never had a problem.
After I contacted Alyce to advise I hadn't received my book, Loryn promptly arranged for a courier to delivery me another copy.
I received prompt, friendly and professional service.

Now I'm off to read the book and see what to cook first :)

KatieJ,

So glad to hear you finally received your book! And thank you so much for the kind words, they are much appreciated. Looking forward to hear what you cook first!

I have just ordered my copy today. I can't wait for it to arrive.
I love cookbooks too and have so many (217 at last count - plus years of subscriptions to many foodie magazines) but they bring me so much pleasure. :D :D :D

Well, this one certainly looks attractive, mcmich.  Since I've had mine (just a couple of hours) and have had a chance to read properly, a couple of things have annoyed me - "goats cheese" with no apostrophe - "less raspberries" - but generally, I am finding the recipes engaging.

Ooh apostrophes are my pet thing. I can get a bit agro over them. I saw a dreadful one the other day in Myer. A great big sign that had an apostrophe where it was not needed. I think the word was "get's."  I saw cocos palms advertised on a truck the other day as coco's palms.  Must get off my soapbox.

grammatical errors shouldn't appear in print - that's what editors are for.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets annoyed about grammatical and spelling errors in published documents and books.  It's just plain sloppy but is becoming more and more common.  In a way I can understand it, your eye always "sees" what it wants, but it is still off-putting when you come across these errors.  I find heaps on my kindle and it drives me nuts.

DD gets very cross when she sees them in professional magazines. She was asked to stop proof reading a newsletter because she was too thorough. :P

Both DH and I completed our apprenticeships at a newspaper and we often have little competitions to "find the mistake" in printed documents and on signs. Proofreading the copy was one of our jobs and we had to be very thorough or face the editor and manager if you let one slip through.
