I'm buying an iPod touch for DDs birthday coming up on the 16th, and a George foreman grill for me tomorrow. :D

DD is a lucky young lady.

She has been asking for one for quiet some time, and she has saved up her money to go towards it. She is turning 9. I hope she looks after it.

Today was car service day where I leave the car with them for 2 hours and browse Harvey Norman, Bunnings hardware and now a new Spotlight store has opened nearby as well.  The car service is usually pretty cheap but the wandering around shops takes its toll.

Today I bought a Miele dishwasher as the top drawer of the F & P was playing up this morning and because of it's age I am not prepared to spend anymore money on repairs.  At Spotlight I bought a change of colour for my bathroom - going from burgundy accessories to dark grey.

I also bought something to start me off for the retreat dress up day - now to find other things to go with it or scrap that idea completely and give these to the grand-daughter for her dress ups  :-))

I have been admiring for some time the German Reiss enamelware, in a gorgeous little place in town.

...so I splurged and bought the large baking dish & jug in apple green  :D
Also had to pick up a large cake board for the 40th cake I'm making for Friday, also some icing tips and colourings.

I am really tempted . Elvis Cow who would, have thunk it?

My daughter has bought tickets for Elvis to the Max  next month. I saw him more than 20 years ago in Sydney.

Of course I did meet Elvis for real when I was about 15. Had a photo taken with him which I left behind when I came to Australia. Big mistake.

This thread makes me laugh everytime I read it.

Do tell us more Maddy please.

What's this about dressing up?

Trying very hard not to shop, away on holiday next week. DD graduation one day, and DH decided to go a an organised farm visit for his birthday outing on another day!!!!

Still hoping to get to Edinburgh one day, but expect he will want to do the castle etc etc and will have to dodge tourists...... But if we are on hol I guess we will be one of those too LOL

I finally got around to getting photos of the new plaid seersucker capris, color coordinated tops and the new sandals I bought for summer wear.  I bought four similar plaids in different colors last year and really like the fit and both they and the tops are 100% cotton so they are cooler (or seem so to me) than the ones that contain polyester.

I had also ordered a pair of apple green sandals but they did not arrive - out of stock - may or may not be sent on. They are like the bright blue ones on the left.

I'm going to wear the red, white and blue plaid with a red T and the blue sandals today - for our Independence Day...

Cool Andie, in more ways than one.

Cotton always cooler  than poly cotton.

Lovely colours.

Our weather is so strange, hot here today but DH was away and it was cool and wet where he was.
