Title: Brisbane rookie
Post by: tarat on May 20, 2013, 04:27:04 am
Hi, I'm Tara and live in Brisbane. Patiently waiting for my thermomix to be delivered (ordered on Saturday) so I'm having lots of fun browsing recipes and writing out a shopping list.

Now normally I hate to cook, I hate the prep work and the cleaning up, so here's hoping the thermomix changes all that.

I've recently cut out all additives from my diet and have go e back to a pretty primal way of living, I wouldn't say paleo ask do plan on still having yoghurt (when I re-introduce it) and possibly still some spelt flour etc, so technically still a grain.
It's all a bit of a learning process and seeing what my can and can't handle (allergies - sinus and skin issues).

I've spent the last hour and a bit browsing, so thanks for sharing some of your fabulous recipes.

Welcome to the forum Tarat. When do you expect your machine?

The demonstrator can't deliver until Sunday. Trying to be patient in the mean time.  :)

At least you have a little time to get organized!  ;)

I'm sure you will find tmx a big help - I always quite liked cooking but did find it just such a big chore keeping the family fed day after day, and the tmx has really made it fun, and I look forward to my next task in the kitchen.   ;D

Hi Tara, I am from the Gold Coast and ordered my thermomix today. I am nervous about the purchase but have  spent more time looking at this forum than on Facebook! So that tells me I will get lots of use out of it. Good luck with your and I can't wait to get mine.

Hi tarat - a very warm welcome.  Have you decided what you'll cook with your consultant?  IMO you can't go past the vegetable stock as it's one ingredient you'll be using over and over in all sorts of dishes. Good luck - and do let's know how you go with the delivery!

Tarat, I hope I get mine this week. I just want to get cracking and whip up some things. Do you have a bulk food place in your area? I found one in southport so I need to stock up. Let me know when you get yours.
