What could be better than fruity porridge for breakfast .... Eggs Benedict. But that's for tomorrow.
FRUITY PORRIDGE
240g rolled oats
60g dried fruit and nuts
600g water
400g milk
Add all ingredients to the TM bowl.
Cook at 90C for 15 minutes, reverse speed 2.
Serve with honey, brown sugar or golden syrup.
Serves 4

Just made this for DH and myself, it's really, really good and the timing was spot on. ;D
Used raisins and craisins as the dried fruit and some flaked almonds and just a little pure maple syrup drizzled on top for sweetness. We'll have the other 2 serves tomorrow morning. :D

JulieO I will be the only person eating this. Do you think it would be ok for the 4 days or do you think it would be best to only make half?
-
I've made porridge for myself Cookie and eaten it over 4 days. I'm still here to tell the tale LOL. I just need to add more milk each time I zap a portion.

Cookie, I will be making 4 serves for me (to have over 4 days) when we get back home.
I know it's only a simple recipe, but it worked with no thinking about it. (I left the MC off).
Like you say you could always halve the recipe the first time to see what you think and yes I would add a bit of milk when reheating in the microwave as it does thicken in the fridge. ;D

Thank you both.

I've just made half quantity of this recipe to save time in the morning Cookie. I'm not a huge eater of cereal for breakfast (or anything else for that matter) so I'll get 4 serves out of half quantity of this one easily.

I've just had the other serve this morning, and after sitting in the fridge for a day it was heavier/more filling today than yesterdays, so I would do the same as Judy and halve it when just for me and still get 3-4 serves from it.
I don't usually eat lunch, instead I have an early dinner, so I found this kept me satisfied until then. :)

It was delicious. I took your hint and sprinkled mine with a little maple syrup too Julie. I added chopped apricots, goji berries and toasted almond slivers I found in the pantry to mine. I might even get more than 4 serves, it is so filling.

This was very yummy. I made half and took 2 minutes off the cooking time. Next time I'll take 3 minutes off. I used pepitas and cranberries. Delicious.

It is nice isn't it and so easy in the TM :D
Yes I preferred the maple syrup to the honey I tried this morning, will def be making this a lot ;D

This is really yummy! This morning I added a tbsp of dessiccated coconut and cooked half the amount for 11 minutes. Yum. Tomorrow I'll cook for 10 minutes I think.
