Hi everyone.

The Dani Valent advanced classes mooted for Anzac Day has been postponed.

Now to be held in Launceston on Sat 26 May and in Hobart on Sun 27 May.

Will add more info as it comes to hand but meanwhile keep an eye on the http://www.thermomix.com.au website.

If I could spare the money I would love to go, I have never been to a cooking class yet. :)

Check out the other local cooking classes, dede.  The Back to Basic ones are only $15 and there is a fantastic vibe from the whole Thermomix team being present as well as all the excited owners asking and answering questions and sharing their experiences and opinions.  Often at ours there is a special deal if you bring a friend that you go into the draw for this or that but that varies from month to month.  I have learned a heap from the B2B classes and highly recommend them.  :)

You would certainly want the IN THE MIX book included for that price. Yikes! Tenina's are cheaper than that, innovative and she does things you actually want to cook. Plus she is generous.

The Back To Basics is getting very tired and boring for those who have owned  a Thermomix for a few months. Same old stuff ad infinitum. The consultants must be bored to death and wanting to do some more interesting things. Get with the times I say.

Well you know me. I  have owned my Thermomix for over 3 years. I have  been cooking for over  50 years. I used to go to the B to B cooking classes to support my consultant. They were boring as dog poo. If you just bought your TMX yesterday they may be of some help but be prepared for recipes  you would not be bothered with.  If you cannot make a basic dip in your machine you do not deserve to own one.

To pay $80 for a cooking demo by Dani Valant is ludicrous. We have not heard much from her on the forum since she was soliciting recipes from all of us to use in her book which she sold to Vorwerk who now want us to buy back a book to which some of us contributed recipes and which are in the public domain .  How many of the recipes in the book did she personally develop for the Thermomix? I can't be bothered.

You can learn more here. The are some wonderful innovative people here  who will give you all the hints and tricks you need  at no cost.

I agree, I have learnt so much from you all here, $80.00 for a cooking class is way over the top, I won't be going. Rather support Tenina, waiting patiently for her next class.

Also BtoB are too basic for me these days.

I will get to Teninas  one day.

What I love abut her book & Alyces, they are made for everyday people with families.

There are never any classes up here. The nearest would be Newcastle about 3.5hrs away.

I have to be honest....I have not cooked one recipe from in the mix  :-\
....apart from the ones Thermomixer had  posted on this forum....don't think I'd cough up $80.00 for a class either.....that's the price that George & Adriano were charging at the Food & wine festival for their specialty demos... :-\ or it may have even been $60.00.
