I did the shopping this morning. Not that many people there today.

Blood test for Ral today.  Chemist and a little shopping.  All feels a bit strange.  Home to make Lemon Butter. Did a survey on the phone.  Took 1/2 hour.

Was that one of those surveys they tell you will only take a few minutes Chookie?  I don’t mind doing the odd one but why can’t they tell you the correct length of time it will take.
Today I met a friend at Ikea as I wanted some towels for my new bathroom.  Neither of us realised we needed so many things though, it was fun.

Judy, they said it would take 1/2 hour.  I was prepared to do it as often the first question is, are you under 50 or some other age group. It was indeed very comprehensive.
When a friend visited she brought some quinces.  They are a different variety to the usual ones.

I have a theory about these surveys ... when they say it will only take 5 (or whatever) minutes.  I believe they are correct about that ... it only takes them 5 minutes to read it, the survey takes much longer.

A visit to the Urologist yesterday for DH.  He is doing well at the moment but still quite tired.  They want to do some tests on his bladder with a camera and he is not keen.  He had a lot of pain when he had a catheter in at the hospital so is not keen on what they are suggesting.  We will see how he progresses over the next few weeks

Poor man.  Perhaps they could give him a light sedative to relax him.

We went for an informal drive in the old car today. The Collie branch decided to do an informal run to Mandurah and they invited the rest of us to join them. It was lovely. A beautiful day and we all sat 1.5 metres apart. There was 4 vehicles from the Model A club and about 8 from Collie.

Oh Cookie, what a lovely way to spend the day.  Looks lovely.
Mab, that is not pleasant for your DH. Anything to do with the waterworks is a worry.
Rals platelets are on the rise again.  This is good.  More twitching the medication. We feel so lucky to have such a good Dr.
Ate all the leftovers.  The fridge is looking manageable again.

Cookie, I envy your blue sky, ours is a sad grey Colour!
Mab, I hope everything settles down for your DH, he has gone through enough recently
Pleased to hear about Ral's platelets, Chookie .. you don't hear from me often, but you are both in our hearts

Feeling sad at the moment.  I have just opened the shop and saw a police "Crime Scene" vehicle next door with several officers milling around so I popped out to see what had happened.  Turns out they had been broken into early this morning (I thought I heard their dog barking).  It's sad because they spent months and months and, I am sure, huge amounts of money late last year making the cafe over, then they opened just before Xmas and, shortly after, COVID struck and they have been battling to keep their heads above water ever since.  Two lovely guys and everything is hitting them just now.  :'(

Marina, we are also thinking of you often.  Will be glad when all this viral thing is over and we can visit again.  We are maintaining iso.
That is horrid for your neighbours.
Was talking to DS yesterday.  He and DIL both work in the city.  He regularly rides a bike to work but wife travels by tram or train.  With the distancing rules this will be an issue for her.  Think she also might have to ride a bike.  Lots of things are going to change.

Thank you everyone for your support.

Chookie, good to hear that Ral's platelets are improving.

I'm going to have my hair cut today.  I am trying a new hairdresser in the hopes that she will do a better job than the others.

MAB, hope all goes well for your husband.
What a lovely day Cookie - It is 17, windy and rainy here.
Good that Ral's platlets are heading in the right direction.
What a shame that the cafe was broken into. Especially at this time.
Have been on the phone to my aged care for mum. They told me 2 weeks ago that even though her case was marked urgent due to her shoulder fracture it could still take 10 days to have her reassessed. They are going to try and do it by the end of next week. Fingers crossed it happens.
