I discovered why I have been limping for the past 2 months - I have a fractured bone in my ankle!  No idea how I got it.  I have bone density scans regularly and whilst my bones are not as strong as they were last century :o they are not indicating osteoporosis at this time.

Melting again. 43° is just too hot, even with air con. 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
That must be so hard, Cookie.  I do not envy you.

Chookie, I drove through Tilden yesterday on my way to Kyneton and thought of you.  I was on my way to drop my cousin off with friends in Kyneton on his next part of his holiday in Australia.

Chookie it looks like you have certainly find your place in your new neighbourhood.

I made a new recipe  yesterday - Tomato Tartare.  The tomato salad part of it was lovely, not so much the tartare layer, so I think I will try it with hummus next week.

Still lots of cold chicken. Need something warm as it’s quite cold. Saw a recipe for rice paper rolls, fried. Thought I might try AF.
How did the fried rice paper rolls turn out Chookie - crispy?

Something from the freezer - it maybe quiche but I'm not sure as it's label fell off,  with salad.
That sounds like a bit of a 'lucky  dip' Margaret.  Whatever it was I am sure it was delicious.

Making another batch of thermobexta's sweet chilli sauce - DH is disgusted by the 'sweet' part ... he asks can't I make it without 'sweet' ... sorry DH, you're dead out of luck there!

Chookie, when I make quiche / frittata I use soy milk and nutritional yeast flakes which works really well instead of dairy milk and cheese (I also cheat and use garlic powder and onion powder).

Having an unusual weekend this weekend. Covering for our Chinese employee at work today so he can enjoy Lunar New Year with family and friends; Melbourne's Pride party is happening on our street tomorrow - always a fun day with lots of 'interesting' sights and people having a great time relaxing and enjoying themselves with no aggro, which is what makes the day so much fun, then tomorrow and Monday catching up on work and doing lots of personal shopping and prepping for my cousin who is flying in from Scotland at midnight on Tuesday night.

Chookie (and Mab), did I ever send you this link to a home made vegan parmesan cheese?  It is so long since I have had 'real' parmesan that I cannot recall the taste, but this substitute tastes good  https://minimalistbaker.com/how-to-make-vegan-parmesan-cheese/
