Chit Chat / Re: THE SHOPPING THREAD :-)

I'm not sure who was discussing this but I'm sure it was on this thread. Somebody was after an egg helta skelta thingaymyjiggo! Where you put the egg in the top and collect it down the bottom to keep them in date order. Well, I saw on FB that somebody uses the coffee pod one for the exact same purpose. I haven't tried it yet but will be buying one for that purpose. Just to let you know that Aldi are having one on special for $12.99 as of Saturday 30th November. Hope that helps somebody save a bit of money!  If you are buying for that reason though please have a look to see if it will work to hold eggs cause as I have said this is just an idea I've seen and can't account for it myself yet!

Yes, I make yogurt with unhomogenised milk and it's beautiful. I do add milk powder though. Do you think there's no need to do that?

Jams and Chutneys / Re: Passionfruit Butter by Nay-nay

I hate passionfruit seeds, they might look nice but the crunch of them to me is like eating little beetles  :-))  Not that I've ever eaten beetles  ;D

Yes, I'd have to agree with you Judy!

Thanks ladies. I'll do it without.

I have a bag of passionfruit languishing in the freezer and am tempted to make this. Stupid question alert.....passionfruit pulp....do I remove the seeds?

According to my EDC edition (ring bound) rice must be cooked on speed 4. I've never had a problem on varoma/speed 4/14 mins 400g rice in basket 900g water in TMX. This is way more than we need for one meal but I portion and freeze leftovers. Once cooked I place in bigger bowl and fluff with a couple of forks.

Not sure about the cracks??? Doesn't sound right to me though. Hope you get it sorted.

😊

The gardens are looking great everyone. I'm loving my gardening this year. Like Obbie I've just picked some bok choy. I have loads! Stir fry for the next few days I think!

Tank you for bumping. I'm thinking of putting a hamper together for my 4 yo Kindy teacher. I think she'd really appreciate it.
Kindy teachers are getting younger every year!!!

LOL!

She's very good for her age! 😜
