Excellent idea, Obbie. . .Do you think it would be possible to copy Gert's posts from the other thread?  Gert's made some fabulous looking meals and it would keep all those ideas under one roof. . . so to speak ;D  Just a thought . . . . :)

Thanks obbie great idea.
I think this will be a helpful (and fun) thread.
Gert has been inspiring.

I found 8 small fish fillets in the freezer and made a white sauce with capers to make a fish pie.
This has made 4 small serves for tea tonight with veggies.

I have made sausage rolls from sausages and puff pastry from the freezer. Have not been to shops and only bought 2kg of organic potatoes this week.

What fun.  Made chicken soup with croutons for lunch and 2 serves for tomorrow.  2 frozen blocks of chicken stock made from chicken bones of roast chicken, carrots, celery , spring onions and zuchinni that were lurking in fridge.  Added 1 cop of leftover leek and asparagus risotto, 2 sachets of powdered chicken Flavour from 2 minute noodles and 1 small chicken breast, frozen.  Not only used up bit but it cost just the price of one small chicken breast and was delicious. Think I will call this Gert's soup.

Robyn, you are Filling the freezer, not emptying it.  ;D ;D ;D

Chookie I'm sure Gert will be honoured to have a soup named after her. I love it.

Instant noodles, kept as emergency meal for fussy GC.  However we had a salad for lunch out at nice cafe and I have been meaning to post recipe.  I made the salad for Easter lunch.  Basically hot cooked noodles coated with sate sauce and crunchy Asian type veggies stirred through.  Can add slices of cold roast chicken if you wish.
Today,  remaining Gert's soup for lunch with home made grain bread.
Dinner, small chicken from freezer, silver beet from garden, mashed TMX spuds left over from last night. Green beans and asparagus. Roast pumpkin.( bought a whole pumpkin for $4. ) followed by Apple ! Ginger Sauce pudding  with Ice cream.  Bother to be bought.  Great.  Thanks Gert.

Found 3 lamb chops in the freezer and being the end of the week some vegies that needed using up.
So lamb ragu for dinner last night. Luckily I did some jacket potatoes and garlic bread as well - 2 lamb chops wasn't quite enough for DH.
