Judy,  shame you live so far away,  or I would be inviting myself for lunch if you were closer.  Love the photo,  messed mine up today :o :o :o   Today i made aMacadamia and Honey tart, (posted),  Isi's rolls that I am going to make into round rolls and stuff with JD curry mince, coriander and chilli paste and Florentines..   Indian Patties to use up the left over coriander.

Yes shame you don't live in Victoria JD.  Chookie, I was thinking of making Florentines at the weekend but found I have no almonds! and couldn't be bothered venturing out  :-)) :-)) :-))  The macadamia tart looks good.  :-* :-* :-*

Today I made Chinese Long Soup, Chookie's dried apples and some strawberry jam with the leftover apple pulp.  My apples look nothing like Chookies but taste great.

Good work JD - loving those pics  :-* :-* :-*

Over the last few days, we've had
Bron's Meatballs in the Varoma
Chelsea's pizza bases with leftover meatballs and sauce on one, and steamed and shredded pizza on the other
Quirky Jo blender batter muffins
Quirky Jo milkshakes
Homemade Milo
2 x Cindy O'Meara bible bread
Chelsea's Apple Tea Cake.

At 8:30 last night I remembered I had to make something for morning tea at school today.  Chelsea's Apple Tea Cake was in the oven within 5 minutes.  Brilliant!

Good work indeed CB79 - i feel so inadequate now.  Have only made quince paste in the last couple of days - out fopr seminars/meals.

We head home tomorrow, will do the trip in 2 days as we don't have to hurry. Will probably stop in Kathryn's home town of Geraldton or in Dongara tomorrow night We'll then arrive home just after lunch Tuesday. Will then have time to empty the van
and clean it and DH will take the boat off the roof of the car and that can all be washed.  It's sad to go home but I am looking forward to being able to use the TMX a lot more. Will have an oven to cook in again.

Always good to be home - hope you arrive safely.

When I collected the Gourmet Traveller for the letter box today,  there on the front was Queen of Puddings !!!!.  The recipe is pretty much the same as the one I posted,  however the picture on the cover is divine  (nearly as good as JulieO's)  Also there is a recipe for Momofuku's pork buns.   I think they are suitable to convert and steamed in the Varoma..  Watch this space.

Looking forward to the buns Chookie.  Must admit I thought that the Queen of Puddings pic was from your kitchen  ;) ;) ;)

Thanks Thermomixer,  you are toooooooooooo kind.    Have just made Florentines,  replaced the cornflakes with coconut and they were really nice.  Haven't posted recipe as it wasn't TMX.  Recipe came from the fisher and paykel site.

Wow, you've all been busy! I've been at meetings, relief work at school, more meetings, quick overnight trip to Perth and another meeting tonight!

I make bread pretty much everyday. I've been using Lauke's delicious German Rye mix as our German backpacker loves it, and so do I. Recently made some wonderful Chocolate Muffins, also Meatloaf with my Rissole recipe, Chocolate Weetbix Slice and have used the TMX for loads of other things like sauces, rice, veges.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Hi all, this is my first time posting in this thread. In the last few days I have made the golden fish curry from the calendar, carrot cake (3 times!) from here, laksa, satay sauce, icecream, too many things to mention.
But the thing that made me love my TMx the most was tonight when I came home at 5pm from shopping with 4 grumpy, hungry kids. (ages 1, 1, 3 and 5). I used a flavoured rice packet, broccoli and cauliflower florets, and zapped some bacon and egg in the micorwave. At the last minute I added baby spinach leaves. When it was cooked I added the chopped bacon and eggs and there you go, the fakest, easiest most un-Masterchef fried rice. Whilst it was definitely not gourmet, it was cooked in less than 10 minutes, and all 4 of my kids ate it and loved it.
And whilst it stirred itself I got the shopping in from the car and put away.  And that is why I love my Thermomix.

Hi Kimberley, yes feeding tired hungry kids is not the easiest job in the world but pretty soon I'm sure our JD will have you freezing some pre-cooked leftover rice out of the freezer to use instead of the flavoured rice packet  ;)

That sounds like an awesome idea, I will do just that.
I really need to train my husband up (he is the one who bought the rice packets), he complains that there is no 'real' food in the house. When I asked him what real food is, he said '2 mintue noodles, Shapes or Delta Creams'

:D :D :D Your DH will change his tune when he starts finding containers of home made bikkies and other more healthy options.
Guess he is into packet pastas too Kim.  If so, try rainbow's recipe here, it is just like those packets and the variations would be endless.
