That’s good of you Chookie. They certainly earn it.

It’s hot here again today, I may try some crackers later in the day.

The Brioche loaf was a gift to a neighbour who came to our aide yesterday when our security gates stuck closed.  RAL on tractor and neighbour on shovel. At the same time I made 12 buns for Dinner as DD and family come each Tuesday night.
Yesterday I cooked pastry triangles, filled with home grown silverbeet, Feta and egg.  Pasta Bol made with pork sausages mashed in TMX. ( a new very handy trick)
Also made banana fritters, served with Ice cream.

I have cooked a few things that have ended up in the bin lately so hoping for better luck with this Chilli Con Carne recipe from recipe tin eats which I have made before using beef.  Today I’m making it with chicken and doing it in the SC. If it ends up too thick I’ll just add more water to make it easier for me to eat otherwise it will go to the kids who will love it for nachos.  https://www.recipetineats.com/chilli-con-carne/
Update - no, can’t eat this so I’ll package it up for the kids. At least it won’t be wasted.

That’s no good Judy. At least it won’t go to waste.

Judy, with the. Mince recipe, can you TMX it to make a soup?
Cookie, peanuts and chocolate, nice combination.
Yesterday made 14 large jars of Plum jam.
I made an another batch of the Plum Vinegar and forgot it was cooking.  It had reduced to 1/2 and had formed a lovely savoury jelly. I now have a new recipe and am going to make Windfall Apple Jelly with different herbs, mint, rosemary and thyme.
Need to bake some biscuits.

Yes i could Chookie but it was far too spicy for me.  I’d made the beef version a long time ago and only used a bit of the spice mix, it was really nice and I thought it could have done with a bit more so this time I added 3/4 of the spice mix recipe.  I could perhaps blend some tomato soup with it and see how that goes. I mainly live on soup but every now and then I have to try something with more texture otherwise I’ll never find out if I can progress to the next step.

Update - I put a few spoons of the chilli into a bowl and added some tomato soup - it still had a bite but I was able to eat it. I’ll have one more meal like this but will give the rest to the kids, my SIL absolutely loves hot stuff.

That’s good Judy.
I didn’t do any cooking today. I had a big nana nap instead.

Judy, looks like you need to experiment with food.  Nice to have a bit of variety.
Yesterday I prepared 2 lots of windfall Apples to make Savoury herb jelly. Will let it infuse for a couple of days.  Put Rosemary in one lot and Thyme in another.  Wasn’t sure how much of the herbs to add. I spent some time on Google but couldn’t find anything like I’m trying to make.
Made a batch of Choc chip and walnut surprise biscuits.

The only cooking I did here was to drain the yoghurt I made last night to make it a bit thicker. I have been informed that bread is required tomorrow.
