Bandaids are very hard to open Marie. Hope you had someone there to put it on for you - that's a job and half too.

I was hoping no one would ask that  :D, would you believe palm sugar :-)) :-)) and I can't remember the last tetanus shot so I guess I had better check on that as well.  Lousy palm sugar and stupid me.

Palm sugar is hard to cut Marie so its not stupid!  :)
I wish they sold it in smaller pieces.

Yep - palm sugar it would be - Marie, sorry, but you'll have to stand in line behind me I'm afraid!!  I have no idea why it needs to be so hard - not stupid in any way shape or form!!

I have those hard blocks too and I've never even been game to let the TMX chop them up - I'm sure they would ruin a set of blades, they are like rocks.  I much prefer what Katie bought me - a tub of palm sugar from an Asian grocery which is like candied honey, is that the liquid form you speak of Gretchen?

Hope the finger has stopped throbbing Marie, believe me I have had plenty of finger cutting moment and yes, bandaids are a pain in the butt.  Can't open them easily and they won't even stick to the finger most of the time.  I prefer the cloth ones to the waterproof ones which last 5 minutes here.  It's very difficult dressing one's own badly cut finger too if there is no-one around who can do it for you  >:(

Looks a lot less dangerous (just ask Emme) than trying to cut/grate palm sugar.

Mich I am off to cut my finger so that I can follow your instructions.

Marie I hope it is feeling better. Keep it elevated. I've just realised we are all like a mob of mother hens with our instructions.

We had a car run today. It was freezing as the car has no windows. I had a 1920's style hat on,gloves , my eagles scarf and a jumper and coat and was still cold. It was fun as we went through the hills and up and down gravel roads in the old car.
To top it off DH won the raffle today which was a lovely hamper of goodies. Some sewn by the wife and others baked by her.
Then when we got home DD has started cooking dinner. A great day.

Cold but a nice day Cookie.

I took Mum to visit Geoff then went out to lunch with her - poor thing has been a bit neglected with outings lately.
