All In One Meals using the Varoma / Re: All-in-one-recipes
« on: July 02, 2010, 03:57:51 pm »
Pasta Bolognese.
75g Parmesan, grated in the TM by dropping chunks on to running blades speed 8, set aside.
1 recipe of Bolognese Sauce.
300g pasta shapes.
300g boiling water.
1.Make the Bolognese sauce. When it is boiling, stop the TM and insert the butterfly whisk.Add the pasta and boiling water.
2.Cook at Varoma temperature/ spoon speed/reverse blade action for the length of time that is specified on the pasta packet plus 1 minute.
3. Tip into a serving bowl and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and serve with a salad.
I collected this all in one recipe on a Thermomix workshop.
You could of course make this  vegetarian by making a Tomato based sauce instead of Bolognese sauce.

At the moment, the only one I can think of is from the Indian Book, page 90, Salmon Tikka Dinner with Steamed Rice and Green Beans. There is another recipe I have that I will hunt out today so I can post later.

JulieO thanks for the information about the best price for the yogurt maker but living in the U.K I will have to shop around here.

JulieO that yogurt looks fabulous.Thankyou so much for doing different recipes to see which passed the taste test.Very interesting about UHT milk, wouldn't normally think to go down that road to get yogurt.Just need to see if my credit card can take the strain and somewhere to keep it in the kitchen!

farfallina I didn't realize that the ladybirds were bread not potatoes.I have new reading glasses as well!!!But what a great idea to make bread look so delicious. My usual treatment of bread is to just spread it with butter.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Another one from the UK

Hi Mangetout welcome to the forum. They are a friendly crowd here and have made me very welcome.I live in the U.K as well, in the Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire.Where abouts are you?I have met other Thermomix users who have the "older" model.I gather spare parts are the downfall nowdays to keeping the older models going. You can trade in you older model in part exchange for a new TM31.I know that UK Thermomix will give you a quote if you contact them.I am looking forward to reading about your experiences with your Thermomix and maybe some older recipes.

Very true jd about getting to do things ourselves especially with computers. The thing I find the most frustrating is understanding computer language and because I don't do a process everyday I tend to forget how to go about it.
I'm glad to hear that your computer is up and going and everything is back to normal. It will be a piece of cake clearing out that bedroom compared to understanding computers.

Clever you Judy to get going on a unfamiliar computer.I would be totally lost if my laptop threw a wobbly.I have the backup of my DH and DS to sort my problems out.

Disaster today when I resurrected a Janie Turner Recipe for Oaty Batter Bread.I made it years ago at one of her cookery classes.God knows where I went wrong, but the Moorhen Chicks will be delighted.Back to the drawing board with that recipe.

My DH is originally from Yorkshire, both his parents live just outside of Thirsk. It sounds as though you are totally in love with your Thermomix with all the goodies you have been making.Fun isn't it?
