Number of People: 6
Ingredients:
150g raw sugar (3 secs, Sp 9)
310g maple syrup (or imitation)
150g butter, softened (Microwave 20 secs if straight from the fridge)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
300g Plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
250g milk
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 170o, and lightly grease 1 cup size ramekins.
2. Put sugar in TM, and process - set aside.
3. Place maple syrup in TM for 11 mins, Varoma, Speed 1 or until thickened. Pour into ramekins and refrigerate.
4. Add sugar and all other ingredients into TM for 30 secs, Speed 5. Divide the mixture between the ramekins.
5. Place the puddings in a larger dish and fill half way up sides of each dish with boiling water, and cover with 1-2 sheets greased alfoil.
6. Bake in oven for 45-50 mins or until the puddings are springy to the touch. Remove puddings from water bath, and invert onto plates.
7. Serve warm with vanilla ice-cream, custard, or cream.

These look gorgeous CP, do you think you could steam them in the Varoma?

Gosh, I'm sure I replied to this. Perhaps I forgot to push post. It looks double WOW. I might give it a go in the varoma using dariole moulds.

I did think of that, however there are 6 ramekins the size of a cup. The cake mixture rose right to the top, so I'm not sure...

Ooh, I may have a mess to clean up. I did that in the oven the other day and ooh yuck.

Why not halve the recipe & use the Varoma to steam them?

that could be the way to go. I have some more different flavoured steamed puddings to trial so I will also give that a go
