I love how we associate recipes with specific recipes. I have ones like Ingrid’s Rum Balls, Phil’s Peppermint slice and others.

Thanks ladies.  Must say I have been very slack lately.  I have no idea what I do with my days but never seem to have any time.

Chookie, is it a VZUG steam oven that your daughter in law has?  That’s what I ended up getting!  It’s really great for bread.

Trudy, I’m not sure about the brand of the oven.  Will find out. I’m thinking of getting a new set of ovens.  Probably Meile. I’m thinking, steam combi, microwave and warming drawer. Also looking tat the new Asko 5 in one. Servicing is a big issue here in Ballarat.
Today is sunny but cool. Nice.

When I was replacing my oven I tossed up between Miele steam oven and Neff. I bought the Miele and have been very happy with it.

Any chance of a coffee "date" with the two of you when you re here?  .... just a thought and, because I know you are always flat out when you are in Melbourne, don't feel you have to say yes.  I understand.

Does anyone know anything about this fruit?  We think it is a Osage Orange but know nothing about it.  DS bought them home from work.  They were on a tree on the road side at a site he was on.  An old house was nearby.

Never heard of them so googled it Margaret - unless you’re a squirrel they’re inedible but thanks for your posting, I’ve learnt something today.

Internally they look a bit like Kiwi fruit, but there the similarity ends!!!

No I don't think so as it has a very sticky sap when cut.  I think they will end up in the green bin.
