I bought a pair of flat shoes on the weekend, and only tried the right foot display model so I knew they were going to fit. Got given a fresh pair to purchase. However as I hobble around the house today trying to break them in for next weekend, I was wondering..."what do the celebrities/rich people do - cos they would buy a lot of shoes, do they pay someone to break them in for them first?"

CP, I also bough a pair the other week and yet to break them in. Have to do it when DH is out, cos he thinks I have enough shoes and doesn't know I bought them. When does a girl ever have enough shoes  ;D

I got them to wear to a conference and trade show in July. They are still in the box hidden under my bed  ;)

Perhaps I can send them to you to break in for me.

In Sydney I used to shop in an expensive recycled shop and could get the most beautiful expensive pre worn in  shoes for a very good price.

Stuff your shoes with newspaper CP. An old fashioned, cheap way to break in shoes.

my brother who used to work in a shoe shop in the 90's
had size 12 mens feet  , used to tell people that they had a shoe stretcher out the back
but he would go out the back take his shoes off  put the new shoes on and  hobble around out the back there  make some noise
then put his shoes back on go out the front .
and said there you go these should now feel a bit more comfortable for you . with all smiles on his face
the customers were so grateful for his help , little did they now .

Just read yesterday that the Queen has staff who break her shoes in for her - not a job I would like!

That doesn't say much for the person who makes her shoes for her . Anyway I thought she had only 3 pair. Black, white and beige. LOL!
