I’m feeling very pleased with myself.  Yesterday I drove on the freeway for the first time since Ral has been ill. I did battle with the big trucks and no one tooted me. We went for coffee to a town that has had rave reviews for their trendy Cafe. The town is Learmont and great effort has been made to preserve the old buildings.
It is a long weekend for Queens Birthday.  A very cold morning but the sun yesterday was lovely.

Well done to you Chookie.  The freeway can be very scarey place at times especially with the big trucks.

A frosty morning here 4* when I got up and now 6* at 10:30.  Hopefully it will warm up later.

Hi everyone. Well done Chookie, first time would be the hardest, I hope Ral was a good passenger?
Marina, an empty freezer - that would be a sight to behold here but it suits me at the moment to have it full as I never know from one day to the next what I’ll be doing. Out for lunch so that’s my meal for the day.
Denise, DS manages his time really well and obviously is enjoying his garden and interest in cooking.

CONGRATULATIONS Chookie, that is brilliant.
It has just started to pour here again.  We have had lots of beautiful rain.

Well done Chookie for conquering the Freeway.

I walked Chance through the wood this morning and I caught sight of an owl flying. He landed on the branch of a Beech Tree and wasn't spooked when I walked by. He just looked down at me as I passed him/her.

Judy DS doesn't own a television so spends his time doing other things.

Morning all.
Watched Ashley Barty win at tennis last night.  Nice to see such success without a lot of histrionics.

Good morning everyone.  Light frost again this morning.

CC, our DS had an owl that lived in an old shed at his place.  He became quite tame (the owl that is  ;D ;D) and never moved when we went near him.

I'm not a tennis fan but I am thrilled for Ashley Barty. It is so very nice to see a player who doesn't carry on like an idiot.
It would have been wonderful to get a good look at the owl CC. they are beautiful creatures.
