Hi Sue - how are you? Hey I have a couple of photos from the retreat. I am trying to post them on the forum but the files are too big. Do you want them for your blog - you are doing a great job?

Oh my goodness in such a small amount of time I come in from work and I am sitting here dumbstruck as I read. Judy my thoughts are with you and your husband. Wishing Geoff a speedy recovery. What an emotional rollercoaster you have been on - you are a truely amazing lady. I am sorry I wont get to meet you but I think you already know most of us just by being on the forum. Take care.

Good morning ladies - just having a quick read (spose to be getting ready for work). I am looking at what everyone is writing and smiling in disbelief that we are actually going this weekend... I got goosebumps. Really excited to meet you all - it is going to be fun. Welcome to the interstaters - you need to send the rain back over east though. Regardless the weather won't stop us. Yeooow  :)

I made this last week and forgot to comment. 5/5 from us. I did what Judy said and used craisins & dates and it was yummo! Thanks for a great recipe  :)

They sound great Amy. My hubby loves peanut butter he eats it straight out of the jar. These are definitely on my baking list.

We had Tenina's garlic prawns tonight but had them with steak... "surf and turf" style instead of risotto.

We also had mashed potato (EDC).

It was definitely a winner. One DD said that she would have liked the prawns a bit more creamy (I used philly cooking cream) but we were all happy with the flavour as it wasn't too rich and was oh so yum  :P
I wasn't bothered that wasn't too creamy as I was trying to avoid fat content.  :D

This is the second time I have made this recipe. It is lovely. I didn't have 300g of salmon, so used 60g of smoked salmon and 240g of salmon fillet. It did it exactly as the recipe is stated and we loved it. We had leftovers cold, and the flavour was awesome. It is quite strong in salmon flavour if you use the smoked salmon but we love salmon. The filo is soft when eating cold but still delish.

Seafood and Fish / Re: Slow-cooked Spicy Calamari

Well JD - what a winner! We had this for tea last night and it was delicious. We normally only ever have salt & pepper calamari but this will be the new way to have it. I did it exactly as the recipe said and it was lovely. The only thing we didn't do was have it with pasta so there was a lot of sauce. I think you could easily double the quantity of calamari if you didn't need the sauce to mix through the pasta. Instead of pasta, I filled the bottom of a pasta bowl with baby spinach and then spooned it over the spinach. I made pizza bianca (varoma demo card) and salad to go with it. My DH commented that we were going all out restaurant style! :D

Amy - I am with you... I haven't any idea of what I am going to contribute to the goody bag. As for dressing up I am organised. We dress up all the time. The last dress up I went to was the "Op Shop Ball" (recently) at Burswood. Everyone had to dress-up in in op shop clothes - people went all out. It was so much fun.  :D

I am just going through my printed recipes to upload to Paprika. I came across this recipe and realised I hadn't reviewed it. This is the best recipe. I don't have a sweet tooth but love this slice. I have made several times and never failed. I have also added milk & white choc chips.
