Vee I have tried and tried to do macarons but yours look wonderful. I will have to try Mara's recipe.

My local IGA isn reasonably close and is excellent, but some of their prices are over the top. I don't really want to do a bit here and a bit there, but I may have too.

I made  the macaron  with lime zest and the filling is Tenina's lemon curd..

You guys are so talented. I have never tried making macaroons as I always believed they were difficult. Great job.

Vees look great as well. I have never in my life done anything like this. I have never even made a muffin but Mara's recipe was so easy. The only thing about using the pan is you have to  cook them at a higher temp and for a bit longer. I bought the pan as I have no hand eye coordination so thought it would be easier but in fact I downloaded a templet lfrom the Internet and  the piping was dead easy.

The curd is outstanding. 8 minutes and it is  done. I made it quite tart as I knew the macaron would be VERY sweet. I did eat one but that is all. Not really my thing. Anyone have a recipe for a savoury macaron?

They were fun to make.
