alkaline diet

I seem to recall somewhere along the line there was some discussion about alkaline cooking using Thermomix or just in genearl....cant remember where I read it, I know there was a cooking class with TM that discussed alkaline foods...can anyone out there point me in the right direction
My good friend has just been diagnosed with Breast CAncer and shes asked me to look into this for her

I'm looking into Kefir and Kefir related products at the moment - I'm thinking of starting up with that.  Anyway, I keep noticing how it's linked with people using food to heal cancer, so that might be something to look into?  It seems to be quite a big theme in the kefir world.  I could post you some links if you like, or just google it. 

I was originally just looking for water kefir as a still healthier alternative to using ginger beer plant for interesting drinks (in abeyance at the moment, but I usually make a batch per week), and then became amazed at everything you could do with kefir (cheese, cottage cheese, sour dough bread, pickled vegetables, etc - all with extra health benefits).  And then noticed how repeatedly it was coming up as assisting in the body's fight against cancer.
