so...bellini hasnt recalled the product...target arent allowed to sell it due to legal ...so even if the product is still going to be avaiable who is going to sell it!! i am thinking Target arent going to want to run the risk again!  Maybe its because the steamer and the spatula are EXACTLY the same as the ones on the TM31 which is still under patent....whilst the patent may have run out on the TM21, that model didnt have that type of varoma
also seems stupid to buy something with the expectation of 'oh well i will take it back at some stage' ...!!!

let the saga continue its quite amusing!

opppppps Bellini and Target!! the Bellini may now become a collectors item!
I have found this whole saga very amusing!!  I love reading all the latest updates!
what happened to the new Bellinis that were on their way with their new software update!  It is pretty bad of Target to recall items that people had put on layby and not offer another option

what an enterprising ebay seller!!  almost as funny as those selling thermoservers for over the odds or TM cookbooks! actually more fool the buyers!

still a quick review of the various forums should be enough to put anyone off at the moment, i would certainly be holding off purchasing a bellini for a few weeks

for such a friendly forum we seem to be getting a bit of a reputation out there in 'other forum land' as being old biddies, snobs and wanting this other machine to fail so we can feel better about our purchase!!
guess they wont be wanting to use any of the recipes or advice from our forum members then

i think we all realise the bellini has its place and i think most of the upset started with the ripped of recipe book!

hehe so funny reading some of the bellini reviews.....start off with omg i got a machine just like the TM for less than $300, next oh its great its exactly the same as the TM I can now cook everything!!, finishing off with hmmmmm well its burnt, its not quite as good, cant do this cant do that etc etc

will be interesting over the next few weeks to see how many are returned! or laybys cancelled

the bellini jug is unlikely to work in the thermo even if it fits as of course TM has its superior induction cooking, special motor and special blades, cant see just being able to plop a bellini jug in and expect it to work with all that technology ;)

looking forward to some reports on the Bellini
we all know they arent going to be as good as the thermie, but hey they cant be that bad!!!! and if they get people 'back to basics' - chanting Thermomix mantra - then its all good!

didnt have any at my local target...wonder if TM HQ here in perth sent undercover agents in to buy up all existing machines

i have been having a think about it though and TM promotes 'get a thermomix and cook healthy food for your family' as one of the major selling points...so really when you think about it having a cheaper machine might possibly encourage those families who cannot no way afford a real TM to get this one and  be able to now cook more healthy food...so really TM cant complain!! as its just meaning more kids and families having more healthy food!! just what TM want!!

I haev just looked in my UK Fast and Easy book and the bread recipes are an exact copy of recipes in that book...even so much as they have even copied the lead in paragraph...for example

Chollah Many thanks to my friend Sigal Ivry for this recipe. She regularly impresses all her friends byserving home-made chollah bread made in herThermomix. It’s a lovely start to the Sabbath

That is exactly what is in the UK book!!!!

Assume the other recipes are just made up or maybe copied from other countries TM books ?

im finding the whole thing hilarious and wonderng how HQ is dealing with this!!!  love to be a fly on the wall in Grace's office!!

me and a friend were just in a local bookshop, they had 2 copies of the FFS book, the lady was saying she had only agreed to get 2 as she wasnt sure how they would sell as the TM came with its own book....but after we chatted to her and told her why we thought this book was a good one (plus bought a copy) she is now going to call the distributor back and get more in!!

Had a look at this book in dymocks today and am deffo going to buy it.  What I liked about it on a quick glance was unlike some of the thermomix books I have, this one is not afraid to use the oven in conjunction with the thermomix.  FSA and MWOC just have the whole lot done in TM which is not always so appetizing
