Chookie, that pair of long socks that are imitation sheep wool lined sound like just the thing I will be needing whilst I am recuperating.  Can you recall where you got them from?

Just bought a new laptop computer and it's taking a bit of getting used to.  So many ads, driving me mad so I have got to suss out a decent app to get rid of them ... or at least cut them down before I go completely batty!

Ouch, Marina. My GP waits 2 weeks between each injection.
Hair cut and blow wave, Gym, afternoon tea with Probus friend and off to Melbourne to stay one night at The Royce. Tomorrow, morning shopping and dinner at Farmers Daughter’s. Home.
Your GP has undoubtedly got it right, Chookie, but it is getting too close to my operation now to allow that amount of time between the various injections.  I cannot imagine it will be much fun, but hopefully it will serve its purpose and keep me protected during my night in hospital and subsequent recovery at home.

Enjoy your visit to Melbourne, it's a bit dreicht at the moment, but will hopefully improve whilst you are here - I'll let the weather forecasters know you are coming and see if they can do anything about it for you.

Visited my GP today and made arrangements for 2nd shingles shot plus flu plus COVID injections next week (that should be a fun visit) prepping for my hospital stay.

I love the dried mango from The Source - it can be a dangerous shop for me to visit!

Made meatless meatballs (Mab, I am sure this was a suggestion from you quite some time ago - it is from one of the Revive Cafe cookbooks).  They are really good and easy to make.  I think I will make them into sausage rolls next.

Day 1 today for a work experience student - you never know how that will go.  To my great dismay, the last one we had would not answer the phone calls, she didn't seem to know what to do with them, had no grasp of phone etiquette.  Hopefully this one will be better.

A slightly belated wish for a happy birthday, Chookie.

I've been tackling a swathe of documents from my surgeon prior to the operation on my ankle in May.

I have started pulling away from plastic containers as well.  I purchased some of the "flat stack" silicone containers and they are fantastic as they collapse very flat for storage and the lids are colour co-ordinated with the base so always easy to match everything up. However, some of them retain the silicone taste so I am starting to pull back from them unfortunately as I was hoping to have all my containers neat and tidy in my drawer.  Very disappointed.  I also have quite a few glass containers that I am now starting to use once again.

We forget how lucky with the modern cars, Cookie, they make life so much easier but you do lose the 'whole' driving experience of the old cars.

To be honest, Cookie, I don't really know the technicalities.  There are a couple of different types and they do much the same thing, but different, i.e. an oven vs. an air fryer sort of comparison.  The CPAP gives continuous air pressure which helps for those who snore and for those with sleep aponea and it also gives a fantastic sleep as well.
