Drinks / Drinks - Affogato
« on: October 30, 2012, 12:54:41 pm »
Amy has been giving me a hard time for not putting any recipes up lately, so am going for my favourite drink, not really alcoholic :) :) :) even tastes great without alcohol.
Even a strong instant coffee made in the thermo tastes good.

Ingredients: (serves 4)
4 big scoops of good-quality vanilla ice-cream made in thermo of course
4 teaspoons Italian liqueur (such as Amaretto or Frangelico) I prefer the Frangelico
4 espresso cups freshly brewed strong, black coffee

Method:
put the 4 big scoops of ice-cream into 4 small glasses or teacups, pour 1 teaspoon liqueur over each. Top with hot coffee and serve immediately.

Think I found this on the Taste site.

This is the only reason I make Frangelico

Chit Chat / Help ..... broody chooks
« on: September 22, 2012, 03:33:05 am »
Have 4 sussex chooks only 12 months old, have been laying for approx 3 months.  3 of them have gone broody. Do I get rid of them and buy isa browns or is there anything I can do? Had the chooks from chickens so cant chop their heads off.

I refuse to buy eggs, store bought yolks are so pale and have had to stop making curd. Thats really sad as I have only 1 bottle left.

Introduce Yourself / Hi from Mount Barker WA
« on: July 17, 2010, 10:20:08 am »
Had a demo last Saturday, will receive my Thermomix either Monday or Tuesday. Decided to check this forum to find recipes.
Really needed risotto recipes, love risotto, never cooked myself because it takes too long. But now can see me cooking it quite often. Great recipes here, can see me spending a lot of time on computer.
