« on: August 03, 2010, 03:05:40 am »
or so my kids think!

a chopped up frozen banana
some freshly ground almonds (done in tmx)
milk of choice - about 500ml
4 tlbs home made milo

mix on S7 for 10 secs then on S9 for 30

great cold thickshake that keeps them going all arvo. Makes about 4 serves. Obviously adjust as you want.

I can see why they would like it zebraa.  Must try it on my grand-children.

Another great breakfast idea (add this one to Quirky's Choc Banana Icrcream). My DS2's eyes almost popped out when I told him he could "occasionally" have icecream for breakfast so he will be excited that he can have this one as well.

I add yogurt (2 tablespoons - natural)  Chia seeds (a tablespoon or two) to this - they get ground up with everything else. And I have discovered that if you leave it in the fridge for 24 hours, some ligquid eperates down the bottom but 3/4 of the glass is this awesome, fluffy chocolate mousse! I tell you, it is fabulous. Def worth beating the kids too.
