Judy, I have made this recipe using strawberries instead of mango and it was very nice.

Cookie, your cakes looks good I'm sure your DD enjoyed it.

I’ll try strawberries, pineapple and the banana version too this summer Margaret, such an quick dessert to whip up.  Half the recipe is still a little too much for me, I’m not keen on having the same dessert for 5 straight days - I’ll miss having ice-cream!

I made some SD starter crackers. They are almost gone.

Yesterday I ground up sone Rye grain in the TMX and with white bread flour made 10 rolls. We had some with the pumpkin soup. I gave some to the 2 men who came to look at the A/C. ( still not working). The. Weather has turned cold. Lovely, I feel like cooking. Great.

The strawberries here are not very nice this year. I’ve actually stopped buying them.
I made the Portuguese Bread from Cookidoo. It is simply bread water and yeast. I ground some wheat and used that as some of the flour. DH loves the flavour and has requested it as his new favourite.

Yummy Cookie. Will try.
Lazy and handy potatoes. I microwave medium size potatoes , in a covered dish with a little water, until cooked. Keep them in the fridge and when needed grab a couple. Good for cutting into chips, potato salad , smashed pots in AF roast pots etc.

Love your bread cookie. I agree with you re the strawberries, I have yet to eat a sweet one this season although everyone Christmas Day said those in and on my trifle were sweet. So it must be just me. I bought a bulk pack from the freezer section of Costco for smoothies, they’re the biggest, ripest strawberries I’ve ever seen so are perfect for my drinks.

Cookie, your bread looks nice.

The strawberries I bought for Christmas were quite hard and not very sweet either.

Cookie, I have just made that Portuguese bread. It’s amazing. Naughty naughty, I cut while still hot. Good french butter and homemade Strawberry Conserve. This is a loaf for those who love crusty bread with lots of holes. That’s me!

It looks delicious Chookie.
It's too hot to cook here today. I'm sick of the hot weather, bring on winter. I did make some raw muesli type bars from Tenina's website.
