the last couple of loaves weren't cooked in the middle,  even though I bought a thermometer and ended up cooking it for longer than it said, it's been a few months now maybe I'll try again today, thanks for the support xx

Thanks for the compliments girls.

Yvette, you must have a go at making bread - there is nothing quite so rewarding and this feeling happens every time a loaf or rolls come out of the oven - even after 4 years ;D  Your baking day with others (TMX people?) sounds just the thing to get you moving in this direction.

Suzanne, I wonder if your yeast has gone stale.  It doesn't make sense that you did OK to start with then things went downhill.  Get yourself some new yeast for your next shot so that you can at least rule that out as the cause of lack of success. Are you using fresh or dry? I keep my dry yeast in the freezer and never had much luck with fresh.

that was my first thought too Judy so I replaced my yeast and put it in the freezer, could it be the flour?  I'll buy all new ingredients and try again

Thanks Uni, so you girls are having a baking day in Sydney soon.  Great, at your place Uni?  Soon you will have Yvette baking like the rest of us.

Love the look of your CADA balls Uni, I'd probably eat those but CADA itself has never interested me  :-))

Yum Uni!
I think I might just have to make these today!
Instead of dates I usually use dried figs
